BEYOND disgusting. Poor quality food that quite frankly is a health hazard, lousy portion sizes and the rudest manager I think I have ever come across. I ordered for home delivery $72.50 worth of food to enjoy on mothers day with my son and his friend and this is the food and service I got.
Eggplant Parmigiana 15.00 (passable, the only thing that was)
Polenta Chips 9.00- Were six soggy sticks of polenta, COLD.
Housemade Dips 13.00- Were these three tiny dipping sauce size tubs of dip about five centimeters in diameter and height. I actually thought they were dipping sauce for the polenta chips until I could not find any. The bread that came with it was stiff, chewy and COLD.
#9 Napoli, Mozzarella and King Prawns 21.00- a few prawns slapped on a medium size pizza with no taste and once again stiff chewy and COLD.
Garden Salad 9.50- Limp and WARM!!!! It had obviously been nestled up on that long drive only two suburbs away against what I am assuming was at one stage hot food. I used to work as a cook myself and I know damn well that salad going warm like this poses a MAJOR risk of food poisoning. So obviously this went into the bin.
I called up to express my displeasure about the food that arrived late, cold, warm and was of such poor quality and sub standard portion sizes (and I'm not a big eater BTW) And that's when I came across the 'service'. If I didn't think the poor quality of the food could be matched in lousiness of attitude I was wrong. I called up and asked if I could speak to the manager or owner. When I did I was constantly talked over. He would let me finish one sentence. He continued to blame the Uber driver for everything (I don't know how it explains the poor quality and tiny portion sized, maybe the guy was out so long he ate some?) and offered no solution or apology and refused to give any refund. He repeated over the top of me constantly about it taking 20 minutes to deliver, and I have no idea how it was relevant. This was on a Sunday night to travel only 6.3 kilometers yet took over 20 minutes to arrive when the cooking time was already late.
All and all an absolutely terrible and terribly expensive disaster. Both my son and I had been unwell so decided to make a night in of it for mothers day instead of going out, yet thought we would get something a little nicer that just pizza or burgers.. Absolutely ruined the evening. And I will certainly be making a complaint to Uber and our local council for their food being a health hazard. As far as the manager/owner's rudeness goes I will have to leave that one to the...
Read moreWe are a large group of 15 people, including 8 adults and 7 kids, it was an absolute delight. The staff are very friendly and helpful in seating and ordering. Despite being seated at the very end of the restaurant, the staff were also attentive, ensuring our dining experience was top-notch.
The star of the show was the freshly made, wood-fired pizza and focaccia, which transported us straight to Italy with every bite.
For the adults, we ordered a variety of dishes to share, starting with 3 plates of Bruschetta. We also savored Pizza Napoli with Goat Cheese, Roasted Pepper, Pesto, and Prosciutto; Prawn and Chorizo Risotto in Napoli Sauce; Beef Salad; Tinroof Chicken Salad; Chicken Parma with Napoli Sauce; Pizza Margarita; and Lamb Souvlaki. Each dish was bursting with flavour, and the portions were very generous.
The kids enjoyed their Munchi meals, which included 3 servings of Chicken Nuggets and 2 servings of Calamari & Chips. These dishes were perfect for the little ones and kept them happy throughout the meal.
For after meal, we ordered a variety of drinks: 2 Soy Chai Lattes, an Extra Hot Chai Latte, a Decaf Cappuccino, and 2 Extra Hot Cappuccinos.
Overall, the food was absolutely amazing, with each dish perfectly cooked and packed with authentic Italian flavours. We left the restaurant satisfied and looking forward to...
Read moreYou know those resturants that never fail you? Tried and true go to? That's the Tin Roof Cafe for you. My partner and I have now come here regularly since moving. From coming once a month to thrice a week if im lucky.
Not once have I had a bad meal served with an inviting atmosphere and a good laugh. Slowly but surely becoming a regular after night shifts, this place is now my favourite for a good brekky and a smile or two.
Eggs have never not been perfectly cooked. Sometimes portions vary when you ask for extras, but honestly, considering the price point and hospitality given, I couldn't mind one bit.
Eggs Florentine is a must try if you enjoy a salmon Benedict; coffees are superb, but the juices even more so. You can really tell that the staff here have catered to most aspects!
Can be a little loud for those who get a tad overwhelmed with noise, but for myself the small chatter, friendly laughs and the regulars banter is comforting. Whether you have had a long day (or night) there is something to everyone's taste! I always forget to take photos here, I get too excited for the food. But sooner or later I'll update this with a bit of extra love 💗 keep doing what you're...
