Laksa. Laksa. Laksa. 🍜 One of my favourite dishes. And as my favourite Malaysian restaurant has closed after 40 years #penangcoffeehouse in Hawthorn, I’ve enjoyed exploring far and wide for another good Malaysian eatery. Who would expect to find a goodie in a #foodcourt in #highpointmaribyrnong ? @laksahut.melbourne @laksa_hut @laksahut was a divine lunch with blended spices and sauce mixed with plenty of chicken and the mandatory noodles. Generous size for a lunch. Notes: easy to find in the food court. Kid friendly. Toilets nearby. Excellent parking. High chairs available. Take away available. #highpointmaribyrnong #highpointfoodcourt #laksahut #highpointlaksahut #malaysianfood #malaysianfoodie

I ordered a large plate for $17.20. The young girl in the black shirt, was extremely stingy with the food. She was giving half scoops, not grabbing the honey chicken fully, only giving it one by one. I told her to add more beef and she emptied the spoon even more and she left a 20c piece of meat. Who are you joking with? I told her to add more, and she said that “this is what I get for $17.20”, bullshit. If it’s $17.20 for the large I shouldn’t be getting 3 piece portions. Absolute rip off. Almost $20 for this rubbish? All money, no real service.

If you want to eat the best luxa in Melbourne you can’t go past Luxa Hut at Highpoint Shopping Centre. The food is just to die for and service is the best I’ve seen here. I would not hesitate to recommend this restaurant to anyone. Love your work/food/service. Daryl

Food’s okay, but the overall experience left a bad taste and not because of the laksa. We went as a family of three and asked for an extra plate to share with my daughter. They said it’d be an extra 50 cents… for a plate. I get that 50c isn’t much, but charging for something that probably costs them a few cents feels petty and stingy. It’s not about the money, it’s the principle. When a place starts nickel-and-diming you for basic things, it really takes away from the...
