Hello all, You can check my reviews I rarely have a bad word to say about anyone or any business HOWEVER Let's talk about the Highpoint Pancake Parlor. We booked a birthday lunch for 9. 5 Adults and 4 children. Not a small party by any standard. The restaurant was literally empty of customers but brimming with Servers and Kitchen staff. The service was all over the place from the time we sat down to order. We had several different serving staff coming to the table all were pleasant and courteous but none exuded confidence in the kitchen or menu. While the food was nice and tasty enough the prices were/are ridiculously high for the food delivered. The food arrived in a timely fashion BUT was missing a main meal, bearing in mind all orders were placed at the same time. The missing meal was eventually delivered 15 mins after the others admittedly with an appolgy. When the last meal was served we ordered an additional large milk shake $14.00 and a regular Pepsi $9.00 and were told they would be quickly asap. In hindsight we should have asked for their definition of ASAP. After about 20 mins and 3 requests as to the whereabouts of the drinks we were told they were being made. After more than 20 mins we gave up and continued eating. Finally after we all had finished our meals and were ready to leave we asked yet another server for the drinks and got a "No Idea" look so we requested the bill of $250.00 plus. After relating our dissatisfaction to the Manager? the drinks were deducted from tbe bill BUT No explanation. No apology. I can only describe the Managers attitude as Minus 100% care factor. Bloody disgraceful.
My question is: How can a pancake establishment situated in a shopping mall complex in North Western Melbourne, justify such exorbitant prices? $32.00 for a chicken schnitzel. $14.00 for large, lol, milk shakes? $9.00 for a "Regular" made on tbe premises Pepsi?
Lift your game Pancake Parlor your lack of lunchtime trade should have given us a hint to try elsewhere.
We give you 1 Star because the Servers tried but the kitchen and management failed miserably.
Needless to say We won't be...
Read moreHappy 60th birthday pp You invited me to your party and then didn’t let me in . You had 60 years to Plan your party and boy was it a flop. Where does the disappointment start and end . All over socials pp advertised their huge milestone birthday party for one day only . We get to op Highpoint at 1045pm The line is out the door it’s 6 degrees. We wait in the cold and they let a few people in . By 1115 they let a few more people in. Then an employee comes out and says we not letting anymore people in and the pp party finishes at midnight but advised to wait as at midnight the menu will be the winter parlour menu . There was about 50 people in the cold waiting to celebrate this milestone so we wait in hopes of getting the door before midnight to experience the 1960s menu and prices and join the festivities. From 11.15 no one else enters . At 1205 they open the door and to my absolute surprise the restaurant is nearly empty . So the party had 20 patrons inside !! While we stood in the cold!!! We get seated and get told there is no winter menu. I go up and approach the manager I explain my frustrations with the party . She said the kitchen couldn’t cope with the demand of the party. Yet at 1205 once the party prices were over now the kitchen could cope with the demand because we were paying full Price !!! Shame on you pp. The manager was nice and apologised ( an apology I don’t accept ) and all of a sudden she was able to offer us winter parlour prices . With all the socials advertising surely pp u could have prepared a little better to accept the demand . Possible prepared the way you do for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day ? At 11.15pm when it was party prices you couldn’t accept the 50 people waiting in the cold yet at 1205am once it was normal Pricing now you welcome your 50 patrons because you will make your revenue for the week. Shame on you pp I like crepes...
Read moreI'll be the first to admit it - I'm not a huge fan of pancakes. In fact, I've always found them to be a bit too...fluffy and bland for my taste. But, when a friend dragged me to The Pancake Parlour, I was skeptical, to say the least.
As we walked in, I was immediately struck by the cozy atmosphere and the aroma of sweet treats wafting through the air. Our server, greeted us with a warm smile and presented us with a menu that read like a love letter to all things pancake AND MORE !!!
I was prepared to be underwhelmed, but as soon as our server returned with our orders, I knew I was in for a surprise. The pancakes arrived in a towering stack, drizzled with syrup and butter, I took one look at them and thought to myself, "How can something so... round... be so beautiful?"
The first bite was like a revelation. The pancake was light and airy, with just the right amount of chewiness. The flavors exploded on my tongue - sweet and savory and utterly delightful. I couldn't believe it - I was actually enjoying a pancake!
But what really set The Pancake Parlour apart was the creativity and attention to detail that went into each dish. The fillings were innovative and exciting. As we left the restaurant, I turned to my friend and said, "You know, I never thought I'd say this about pancakes, but... those were actually kind of amazing." My friend smiled knowingly and said, "I told you they're the best!"
And so, despite my initial skepticism, I have to admit that The Pancake Parlour has won me over. Even a pancake hater like me can appreciate the artistry and dedication that goes into creating these fluffy masterpieces. If you're looking for a sweet treat that will delight your taste buds and surprise your senses, look no further than The Pancake Parlour.
