Bombay Bar - Highpoint — Restaurant in Melbourne

Pathetic food and behaviour. We have been eating here since long as this is the only Indian joint in the Highpoint mall food court. The taste was never great except chole bhature. But it was eatable atleast and fresh in most cases.

This time we tried biriyani (9th April) and it was pathetic. We asked for spicy. The chef filled it with "chilli-flakes". The chicken was definitely not fresh. And it was chewy and smelling.

When we discussed with the staff and chef, they were outright rude and told us we are lying. We asked them to taste. The chef says Biriyani is like this only. You should ask how we do spicy. No one complained and only you doing means nothing is wrong with food. She said, i have other customers to cook for and don't have time to discuss - "Mere paas time nahi hai aapse discuss karne ka". Since no one complained since morning, it means all is good and we are wrong.

If the chefs can't take feedback and talk like this, Nothing can be done. I will definitely take this matter forward. The way she was making faces was not lost on the other customers in line as well. In fact your overhead camera can give you the picture and video. We ate around 3pm perhaps.

The chef needs to have some manners atleast and the lady who was serving with her. Downright pathetic. Never...

Made a mistake of ordering from here. Should have seen these reviews before.

Today i ordered Chole Bhature (Med) and this is the worst chole bhature in the entire melb. Its like you are buying torture for 24.5 dollars. Bhature was not bhature but some fried roti/wrap. Totally white and hard as metal. The oil was not even removed properly after frying. They were wrapped in aluminium foil so you can imagine all oil in that sheet of metal. Those who have had good bhature in life, please don't order these. I request my aussie friends to not order this as this isn't real chole bhature. Its a torture that you are buying. Only good thing was the onion and pickle mix. Bombay bar. Please do some quality check before shipping out the food. The food was not upto the mark and defi not doing justice...

My father ordered a veg biryani today at bombay bar....and after waiting time of almost 20 minutes or more we got our container of biryanii........i think it was prepacked and they heated it so much in microwave that container was deformed and i can only imagine how plastic would have affected food.....and the rice in biryani were definately old .........my father was so hungry so he ate 1/3 of it but we threw rest..........also they add chilly powder and flakes from top and powder was stickimg to rice as it was not cooked.........i would have let it go but as soon as we reached home he threwww up everything and he didnt consume anything else apart from biryani ........i really hope for sake for everyones health restraunt improves their...
