This might be the best restaurant in Melbourne. Wow – where do I begin!
The service:
I have read a few times online that you are made to feel like you’re family as soon as you walk in and this is the perfect way to describe it. Even though it was my first time at Marbl – we were greeted by Luke like we were long lost friends (but not in a cheesy fake way). He spent the time to explain items on the menu and made suggestions that everyone on the table ended up loving (but we will get to the food later). Our glasses were always kept filled to the brim with ice cold water and he genuinely cared about our experience at Marbl - coming back multiple times within the meal to check in to make sure everything was to our liking.
The food:
Everything was absolutely divine from the steak to the fried onion and the decadent baked New York cheesecake. I ordered the aged rump with a marble score of 7-9 and I couldn’t recommend anything more highly. This steak melted in the mouth and its richness from the high fat content was beautifully contrasted by the ever so slightly tangy glaze which was tenderly applied to the outside of this glorious cut of beef. The experience was elevated to new heights when charcoal infused salt was applied to the steak (another recommendation by Luke).
All the serving sizes were extremely generous and left us extremely satisfied – but of course we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to try the cheesecake. Although, we left with extremely tight belts we didn’t regret it one bit. The cheesecake was creamy and oh so smooth and fitting to be the only dessert on the menu. You don’t need anything else when the cheesecake was that good.
We finished the evening with Luke coming round to our table and shaking our hands – thanking us for coming and hoping to see us again.

Read moreI have been coming to Marbl with my partner and friends for about 3 years now and have celebrated some very memorable occasions here. It was at this establishment that I had the first meal where I didn’t critique a thing (I’m a very picky eater!!).
From the second you walk in, you’re greeted with a smile no matter what time you show up. The environment is always inviting and cozy - the perfect place to enjoy a casual dinner with your best mates or celebrate your most cherished moments. The staff are beyond exceptional. Every. Single. Time.
Don’t get me started on the food. If there’s one food which turns me into Anton Ego from Ratatouille, it’s steak and this place has the best steaks I’ve ever eaten!!! I’ve tried almost every cut on their menu and it’s ALWAYS PERFECT!!! Soft enough to cut with a butter knife. Cooked to perfection every time. Perfect char. Perfect basting. Pure perfection - and I don’t say that lightly. The sides compliment everything on their menu and the charcoal infused salt takes everything to the next level - highly recommend it!
The best part of my experience includes the biggest shoutout to Alon. I’ve always been lucky enough to dine at Marbl when he works and I do a happy dance inside when I see him because he just makes everything better! Drink recommendations are spot on and his service is off the charts! Safe to say he’s the best front-of-house/server I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining with.
If there were more stars I could give them, I would. My experience has always been 10/10 and I’m sure that will never change because of how much the owners care about the staff, the service and their customers.

Read moreThis was some of the best steak I have eaten in Melbourne. This restaurant has such a great vibe and atmosphere it felt so cozy but also really fun to have a date night, girls night, boys night, nice dinner out of home!
We got the scotch fillet cooked medium rare and it was perfection! They have black salt on the table which you can put on the steak and it just melts in your mouth the quality is insanely good!
We also had the porterhouse and the same as the scotch fillet cooked medium rare.
You can really tell they put lots of care into the cooking process!
I highly recommend adding a sauce to the meal, we got the creamy garlic and it was a game changer, to dip the chips and steak in the sauce just elevated the meal into another dimension!
We also tried their onion skins and it was a nice side add on to the meal! We definitely got so full after the steak and onion. The chips on the side were the perfect amount also and cooked nicely golden and crispy. However we couldn’t pass on dessert.
We got the New York baked cheesecake for a sweet treat at the end and it was a great send off for the night, it hit the spot for sure, it was delicious super creamy and the base just blended with the cake so well!
The prices were great for the place and menu which is amazing with the amount of food you’re getting along with the quality of the food!
The service was incredible they explained and answered all of our questions about the wording on the menu and the steaks and the salts on the table, they are definitely trained well and know what they’re doing!
Well done Marbl Steakhouse we will definitely be back for more, next time I’m getting the eye fillet!
