To the owners, while you make money at this franchise, you are also losing $$$ too. my experience tonight buy all 3 staff I meat via the drive through process was not up to even to your franchise basic standards, I might even contact McDonald Australia & report my findings, lets see if you even reply to my review with an explanation? Any good business would!
I ordered a quater pounder meal & a chicken n cheese & a strawberry shake asked to swap the bun to a cheese burger bun for my quater pounder
I was told that you had run out of the bun (fair enough) so I asked for a fillet O fish bun, & was told that it was the same bun "brother he said" so I paid at the window, then at the next window was given a coke, when I asked to exchange it for the shake I had ordered was told I should of check the payment screen & it's to late for that staff member to swap + its an extra $1 to change it, felt like a stand over tactic especially with the body language used ! A nother staff member tried to intervene ( a manager ? ) & made me a hasty sake but the wrong flavour, while I was still at the at the window in my car trying to check my order I heard the two staff members arguing about why I was still parked there blocking the car behind me, please note I was there for about 5 to 10 seconds if that.
I wanted to go back to swap my shake but did not have the engery after that drama.
Then the penny droped that I recieved my chicken n cheese & that had the small cheese burger bun or very similar.
I just felt the 1st window just couldn't be bothered to accommodate my request win a smaller bun than the standard quarter pounder but.
Clearly not trained to accommodate the request or make it an option for me.
Good one McDonald South Melbourne for making you customer feeling like a number & not a person.

The workers at McDonald's South Melbourne don't include drinks, sometimes forget the burgers, and often the food given is insufficient. They seem to be playing around more than working. Many times, the orders are missing items like burgers, fries, or drinks. When I deliver the food to my customers, a few of them will call me back asking why their food is missing.
Right now, the problem isn't with the Uber Eats or DoorDash drivers; it's with McDonald's South Melbourne. To the manager of McDonald's South Melbourne, please monitor your employees to ensure they work more diligently and responsibly. Even though the food delivery drivers are the ones delivering the food, it still reflects on your service. This has happened many times. Please, I urge customers out there to reconsider ordering from McDonald's South Melbourne. I am very disappointed with the workers at McDonald's South Melbourne.
The employees like to play around instead of working seriously. The food that needs to be picked up for customers takes too long because they are playing around. Sometimes there are too many employees, but the food is not ready. When we ask about our orders, they say "two or three minutes," but the food is still not ready. Sometimes the food is ready but placed under the table. When we ask if the food is ready, they do not check properly and the food is under the table. The attitude of the employees here is very unreasonable; they are lazy and play around too much instead of working diligently. Please monitor your employees, dear McDonald's bosses. Read moreOn Saturday morning, I decided to come to McDonald's with my partner.
Now don't get me wrong, I didn't expect a 5 star dining experience. But oh man were the staffs hopeless and clueless.
I believe that I am a very presentable speaker and not at all intimidating in the slightest.
My first issue was ordering an earl grey tea and then adding ice in it. I know that this is usually not on the menu, but dozens of restaurants have provided me this favour without a problem. When requested this time around, the clerk didn't know what was going on and spoke to the manager.
The manager came up to me and I'm not sure if they were nervous or not, but it was literally whispers. I had issues hearing the message they're trying to get across and they did not seem professional nor confident.
Moving on, my partner ordered the filet o fish to which we found half the sauce was emptied into the packaging and not on the burger itself; which we didn't bother complaining about until she chewed onto something that felt funny. If you look closely at the photos; there's a hair that may be actual hair or a roach's bodily part ... My hair is black and blonde, so it's definitely not mine. And my partner's hair is pass shoulder length.
Further, I ordered a bacon bbq lover and as you can see the cheese is half stuck out. Which is no big deal, but it didn't melt and was still cold.
And lastly, I had orange juice with my meal and you can see that they didn't even bother to fill it up.
This was such a disappointing experience.
