We went to this restaurant for dinner. Before ordering, I specifically asked what was in the salad. The waitress mentioned it included mixed leaves and tomatoes, along with the calamari dish. When the dish arrived, I noticed it contained raw onions — which I’m allergic to.
I informed the waitress, reminding her that I had checked about the ingredients before ordering. She took the dish back but returned with a dismissive comment: “You should know onions come with the salad.” This was surprising and rude, especially since I had clearly asked about the ingredients beforehand.
Even my colleague was shocked at their attitude. Due to the staff’s rudeness, I asked to speak with the manager. It turned out the same waitress — who was also the owner’s daughter — was handling the receipt and said she was the one in charge.
I told her that onions were not mentioned when I asked, but she responded arrogantly. When I said, “It’s just about onions, why such an attitude?” she replied that if I had a problem, I could leave. She claimed this is how she offers hospitality. We had already paid for food that was left uneaten.
When I said I’d like to speak to someone else, she told me to talk to her father — which explained her behaviour. I even mentioned that I had recommended this restaurant to others that very night, including people at the next table, but this kind of service is completely unacceptable.
Eventually, she offered a refund, saying she was having a bad day. But by then, we had already left our meals and drinks unfinished.
I do not recommend this place, especially with the owner's daughter managing it. She lacks empathy, patience, and any real sense of hospitality. Her arrogance ruined what could have been a...
Read moreThis is a hidden gem tucked away on South Wharf that you need to know about.. Having never ventured past Melbourne Public, I had no idea this wine bar existed until now!
Impressed by the friendly and attentive staff as well as the super chill wine bar vibes that portrayed a feeling of spesh but casual and was as cosy as it was suave.
With an amazing array of drinks including gins and vodkas distilled on site, it was hard to say no to a tasting flight as cute as this one!
The Cobb Salad was fresh and went well with any dressing if ranch isn't exactly your thing (controversial but true opinion, I suggest the coriander dressing myself) with chicken that was crispy and not at all oily. It was a light option should you not be in the mood for their heavier fare.
The Chicken Marsala was just as delightful with a creamy mushroom sauce that wasn't overpowering and a mashed potato that actually tasted like potato. I just wish their food was slightly more salted for my tastes.
The Chocolate Brownie could have been warmed up but was delicious and devoured by the dessert lover between us nonetheless.
The food didn't blow you away, it's not a OMG you must dine here.. but it's as reasonable as it is reasonably priced and for that wine and dine vibe, it's a secret gem that really shouldn't...

I cannot express enough how terrible the food is. This is the kind of restaurant you would see on Gordon Ramsay’s latest season of “kitchen nightmares”. Please send Gordon they need help.
I purchased a staple in a basic burger, chips and cheesecake - the kind of dish your 9 year old nephew might first learn to cook. A dish clearly too complex for the 4 clearly underperforming, smoking, corner sitting 21 year old lazy cooks who just don’t care. I think McDonald’s has a job opening if you were interested?
I was served a very undercooked pink burger. It then came back again on the original plate now with everything else cold and it half bitten 🤣 honestly 🤦🏼♂️ 101 re-make it. I figured it couldn’t get worse and then we tried the brownie and cheesecake. I’ve just called 000 I need my stomach pumped. Help.
Ps: shout out to the waitress who politely took the burger back and apologised and tried to make up for it. You are lovely, you will go onto better things. Aim much much higher than this place and...
