UPDATE As you can see below, the response from the owner is as you would expect from a place with pathetic customer service. It illustrates how unprofessional this business is when it comes to treating customers with respect.
You did not say anything of a kind on the phone and in actual fact advised that the kitchen would be open until 11.30pm and to come down. You had quite a few spare tables, so I wouldn't say you were flat out busy - perhaps poorly managed on the floor.
We did not come in to the city for the fireworks, and it's even more disgusting that you make assumptions regarding people's "purpose" for being in the city. We came to have a nice dinner to celebrate a momentous occasion, and your establishment ruined that experience.
And just to clarify, in relation to the comment you have made "critics like you talk like they have been in the business for ages not knowing the hard work it takes to serve people," perhaps you should learn to stop making assumptions. My partner and I spent 13 years in the industry so we know very well how hospitality runs.
You are clearly a business who can't admit you stuffed up, and clearly cannot accept due criticism. You response is nothing short of disgraceful.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: We called to make a booking but were told there was no need and to come down. We drove 50 minutes to get there and when we walked in we were not acknowledged for a solid 10 minutes. During this time, one of the waitstaff argued with a customer about shisha and served another customer drinks as well, right in front of us without acknowledging our existence. When the guy finally attends to us, he points to the table behind us and says "sit." Nothing more, nothing less - "sit," like we're animals are were supposed to obey. We were mortified. We chose to get up and walk out of the restaurant due to the extremely disgusting service. If your food is anything like your customer service is, I'm glad we didn't spend money in your establishment. If you are reading this review, I would suggest you go elsewhere and spend your money. You should never pay to be treated like a dog in...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Very rude behavior. Didn’t even bring a spare plate for a shared meal. Serving shisha indoors where serving food. Still have a headache from inhaling all those smoke from last night. Expensive food comparing to its quality. Never go back there again.
In response to your comment below, I must add that not that only you are rude, but you are also, dishonest. Nobody arrived at 7:50. We arrived at 8:05 and you were rude from the first second that we introduced ourselves and said that we have booking. You asked us in a very impolite way that when was the booking and then threw the menus on the table. Also you never came to ask us to order any drinks while we were waiting you just only appeared at 8:30 and asked us rudely to leave. So we ordered and our other 2 friends that just arrived quickly decided and also ordered exactly 2 minutes after our order not 20 minutes. You yourself also said you tell the kitchen to bring the food for all 6 people at the same time but they came with 40min delays. Terrible way of management.
Please also realise that it is very common that people share food. So instead of treating your customers with disrespect, learn how to serve them well and also bring a spare plate!
Your price is high compared to the quality, size of your kebabs and your terrible customer service. It is a fact (customer feedback) not an excuse.
I will also do some research on your claim of being legal to serve shisha inside the restaurant and will get back to...
Read moreI’ve been in Mixity well enough to write this review in a hope that I see improvement in near future: 1- koobideh is the best of the kebabs in menu. 2- For other lamb based kebabs such as shish kebab and tikka or barg, the used spice to marinate is not suitable. I don’t think using cumin on this amount is suitable. I also don’t like any sort of tenderiser other than onion juice and simple crushed black pepper. These kebabs do not taste like the original ones. Please re consider the way you marinate. 3- for the chicken tikka or Jooje, I recommend just using simple spices such as black pepper, garlic powder, saffron, and very little amount of turmeric if you want. Again the taste is not similar to original one. 4- Rice is not Iranian rice. This makes a huge difference. 5- staff members are friendly and the environment is good. Sometimes the smoke may be annoying when you sit outdoor but still I like the vibe. 6- I also suggest some kebabs on the menu without rice in case someone wants to order to eat with bread.
In general, I like the place and that’s why I care to put this detailed review to see...
