Went here on a busy Friday night. There were 3 staff and they could not keep up. We ordered 1x churro basket and a lava cake. It took around 45 minutes for the order to fill. By then there were even more customers! Waiting... waiting.. that's not the part I have a problem with. It was when I asked for my takeaway lava cake (bought one for my partner at home too) before we were about to leave. The senior most looking person said, sorry you'll have to wait for the other worker, I'm just on coffee (not in a pleasant way either). You could tell he was flustered by the amount of people and attempting to direct the junior staff. Despite this, he was essentially not doing much as there were no coffee orders standing or cash to be receipted. As I stared at the lava cake in the display i just wanted to ask for a takeaway box and I could help myself. They also got the order incomplete, the lava cakes both come with ice cream. I had asked for both ice creams to be served at the table, as I wasn't going to take the icecream home with my takeaway cake. That never came. I had also previously asked the waitress to bring out the takeaway cake so I would not forget before leaving (as you pay upfront and not at the end). That...
Read moreBeen ordering from San Churro for a while now and haven’t had any issues until the past few months.
My partner and I order through Uber Eats, and with our past few orders we’ve either received food that wasn’t the same quality as our previous orders, or outright didn’t get what we paid for.
I’m leaving this review after just having received my order that had neither of the hot chocolates we bought nor the relish (instead we just received just an empty cup). The receipt on the bag didn’t list the hot chocolates but did have the relish, yet I was still charged for those items despite not receiving any of them.
With orders further in the past we’ve also had issues with drinks being completely open and spilled throughout the bag, Spanish hot chocolates being watery and not satisfactory, drinks swapped for other flavours and so on.
I don’t recommend ordering from here unless you’re prepared for your order to be potentially wrong or disappointing. San Churro used to be a favourite of mine, however with these experiences in mind I’ve been reconsidering ordering from...
Read moreWent in early on a monday evening and we were the only customers in the whole shop and yet everything was so filthy. Everything I looked at was sticky - the menu, the table number we were given, the table, the chairs and booths we sat on and even the restrooms. It seems none of the staff or management prioritise cleaning which is pretty gross considering the covid state of things. We ordered a bunch of stuff for two of us to share and after paying and seating we were told that some of the items had run out so we missed out on trying the new menu. One of the hot choccy bombs that we ordered came with the odd stale spongy chunks in it and we couldnt tell if its just a bad recipe or they had been left out of proper packaging for too long before serving. Churros arrived before drinks which is an unconventional way to serve when you only have one active table in the restaurant. I don’t think...
