This place didn’t blow our minds but there’s not much to complain about either - classic Malaysian dishes, simple and unpretentious, huge portions and solid prices.

We decided to start with the pork dumplings, although they ended up coming out last. I was hoping for a crispy texture and a burst of flavor, but they were a little underwhelming.

The laksa was pretty tasty. The broth had a great depth of flavor, and the noodles were cooked just right. However, the portion size was enough to feed a small village. Battled to finish it but came up short.

Also ordered the sweet and sour chicken, which was pretty good. The chunks of chicken were crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, and the sauce had a perfect balance of sweet and sour. The portion size was also huge, so it was good value for money.

Overall, the restaurant serves up classic Malaysian dishes with generous portions and solid prices. While the pork dumplings were a letdown, the laksa and sweet and sour chicken were worth the visit. I would say it’s more of a 3.5 than a 4, but I could see myself grabbing some takeaway from here...

THE MENU PRICE ISN'T WHAT YOU WILL PAY WHEN FINISHED.

Freedom day...22nd Oct 2021... So I go to a place I've supported through lockdown 6...order my usual Friday night pick up. On checking the price I noticed higher than normal prices so I checked the menu. My maths still ad up. So I ask the manager...I actually think it was Mr Lee...he apologised and said said they hadn’t updated the menu yet. After pointing out that was actually illegal...he again apologised but no offer of refunding the difference. Anyway...whilst I supported local businesses through the lockdown...I will not support opportunists...hopefully Consumers Affairs Victoria investigate properly so others don't get ripped off like me

Update 1...after reading response from the owner...it may pay to update your website as well...your online ordering still...

This unassuming place shocked me with how good it was. Everything, down to the spring roll dipping sauce, is homemade in a notable way. ordered the char kway teow, spring rolls and beef satay (so fckin good). the portions are MASSIVE so the price is actually super reasonable for how many leftovers we had.

Solid attention to detail, lots of veggies, must come back to try more dishes! def a sleeper hit

Read another review that said the atmosphere was hectic. confused by this, it’s a restaurant run by Malaysians, they’re trying their best to get the food out to a full restaurant and clearly care about the quality. the staff are soo friendly. But sure yeah, if you mind a little manic energy, maybe not the place for you or any other authentic...

I wish I could see what the 4.5 star rating was about. Sadly, didn't even get close to it. The service was extremely slow, not sure whether it was due to short staff. You could sense how stressed the staff were which didn't add much to the atmosphere. It took about 30+ mins for the entree to come out and at that point we were then told that they had run out of soft shell crab laksa. Instead it was substituted with seafood laksa which was not worth the wait. Overload of veggies which were probably thrown in from a frozen bag that added too much crunchiness. The only winner and highlight was the prawn toast. It may have been a once off but not enough to consider a return.

Came here for our family reunion dinner. Place was packed. Service was good and food did not disappoint. Overall good experience. This is a regular now. But it’s our 1st time we come on a weekday. Not busy. Food come fast. As usual the food is good and service is good Ordered the usual favourite, fried rice kampung style and yam put. First time chicken in butter sauce and long bean with preserved turnips . Didn’t disappoint. Came back again for lunch. More people today. Ordered kampong style fried rice, marmite pork ribs and salt & pepper squid. Ordered food. The food are good size for 5 adults. Dishes are tasty and generous. Enjoyed the meal. Will visit again
