Nando's South Melbourne — Restaurant in Melbourne

No doubt this is the worst Nandos franchise. We were served by this old guy, i think he is the owner with his wife at the counter. They yelled at their staff for small mistakes and I could tell their staff are having a bad time. We order a full chicken with one side. The chicken was so dry, and over cooked. When we complained to them, they gave us a stare and we were afraid that they spit on our chicken. The replaced chicken tasted the same as the previous, NO DIFFERENCE! And when my mate went up to explain our situation, the old guy told us off that we were too fussy. WTF...

We ate outside the restaurant and took some sauces, the old guy stared at us as if we were going to steal them. After a while, the old guy came out and took the sauces when we weren't even done. WTF man, we told him that we were still eating and needed the table sauce. He poured onto our plate without even asking and told us off whether is it enough or are we going to finish the whole bottle. How rude was that? Seriously do not go to this Nandos. I swear it is the worst, you can checkout the other comments or experience this yourself.

I've been here a few times, and every time it gets worst. There was once I saw a cockroach and the old guy step on it, pretended that no customer saw, but we did and he continue to take orders without washing his hands after cleaning it off with tissue paper. Can you imagine the cash or cards that he handles that could affect other customers? So...

Quite lots of mixed review on this joint, well here goes mine.

First thing I notice when I came in is that the place is decent the vibe is lit unfortunately the only table (that can seat our party) that's still vacant still has some left over food from previous guests but it got clean right away so we can sit and get to order.

Food wise, I never seen such a mouth watering Nandos roast chicken like this before. The chicken is grill correctly without too much burnt and generous sauce on top.

We also ordered paella with chicken breast and off course the legendary peri peri chips which come at generous serving size.

Now the chicken, I notice the sauce that was used is not the usual basting that I normally have when I visit Nandos but never mind that it's still tasty and spicy just the way I like my chicken grilled. However going forward it will be good to have more of that chicken basting sauce rather than the regular Nandos chili sauce as the main base.

The chips cooked perfectly, the rice also very tasty that my party just finished the whole thing so quick.

Please keep up the quality and I won't mind visit this joint if I crave another peri peri chicken and I happen to be...
