Was referred to the place by colleagues of the owner Levi Eun to visit & introduce myself & a product called ‘Quickleen’ (multi purpose cleaning product that’s a global success in the hospitality industry) that I represent. Was initially told by staff the owner was not in, out popped ‘Levi’, where a demonstration took place in their front service area. The product’s performance & capabilities spoke for itself & seemed to impress ‘Levi’, a price was presented at wholesale cost to him of $190 vs $330 at retail price. He willingly accepted, paying cash, also receiving an extra 1Kg tub of our product, complimentary, for my request of a free can of CocaCola. Sale was successfully completed!! 10 minutes later, Levi text me asking to buy the remaining stock I had on hand; basically another $190, to which I obliged, mentioning that I could be back shortly to deliver as I was in the area. Upon arriving to the store as promised, Levi popped out in a defensive manner, (lied about wanting more stock) adamantly quoting that he discovered the product cheaper on the Internet. I explained to him that he’s comparing the wrong product, even though the Brand is identical. He vehemently defended his belief that he was correct & I was wrong as the founder of the company. He then went to the trouble of visiting venues & other businesses, trying to somehow validate the success of my sales in the area & further added this was his additional reasoning for cancelling the sale. I accepted the return refunding $200 instead of the $190 as he gifted me a Cola! I wonder if I could visit his restaurant consume the food & drink then pay, & after that hop on social media requesting a refund as I’ve discovered similar types of food & drink at a cheaper price.??? Place looks great and food looked just as good, but attitude of this type -...

I've been to the original Ondo location and really loved their concept and menu. I was beyond delighted that they opened this 2nd location (and so close to my office too!) I have been here for dinner, lunch and the odd coffee run during work hours. The staff are all so friendly and delightful, even during peak periods when there's lots of takeaway drink orders rushing in. I appreciate the cute touch of having a complimentary korean snack to take with your coffee at the pick up area 😊

My first visit was when I had dinner for my birthday and everything was so amazing. Our only mistake was over ordering! The staff were so accommodating to us when we had to let them know we had to run to attend a musical (oops we were enjoying our meal too leisurely haha). During the summer, they open the front windows, and it is so nice to sit there with your lunch or coffee and just people watch.

Ondo is a special place to me and my getaway from work when things are getting very hectic. Being greeted by lovely smiles and great food, beverages and ambience is such a treat. I wanted to make sure to share my great experiences as it upsets me to see people bullying this business unnecessarily due to a social media post aimed at tarnishing their reputation. Words hold a lot of weight and consequences. It's unkind and unnecessary to band people together to leave negative reviews based on one person's perceived experience, rather than accurately capturing your own experience.

Ps. To end things positively.. you must try the...

came to this korean cafe after being recommended!

the signing names on the list thing to get a table is a bit inconvenient especially placing it inside the restaurant where there is such a tiny walkway that people would be squashed together if more than 2 people were standing there. either place the table outside or have a staff specific to only getting people’s names for tables.

dwaeji galbi single $24, set $32 7/10 the meat was grilled perfectly, lots of delicious garlic on top as well really enjoyable side dishes, nothing to really comment on the soup was a highlight for me

the salad tho… there was a dead bug in between two of the lettuce and that is not okay food safety wise. im really glad that the staff were happy to give me a new plate of salad but there has to be some quality control because bugs in dishes, in 2024, is just not good.

also if you are ever sat on the big table, just be wary u will have to squish with other people and it’s not comfortable to eat at all. i felt as if the other people sitting on the table could just stare at me as i was eating and they could also easily hear all the conversations im having with the other people in my party.

overall, the food was at a good standard however the environment u have to eat in is a bit...

Ondo was really good. The staff were friendly, and it's a new addition to a really nice part of the CBD. I was already caffeinated, so I didn’t get a coffee. A friend told me that it could be busy, so go before lunch. I ordered the Gogiguksu set, with the steamed egg and the other extras. I enjoyed it! The broth was clean and delicious, and the pork was tender. The egg was a soft creamy, savoury side go go with the kimchi and zucchini. I haven't eaten Korean food for a while, but I used to live with four Korean people, and it brought back good memories. It's not the cheapest set, but there was plenty of food and I really enjoyed it, the staff were attentive but not clingy. It's an interesting cafe to have lunch. I can't argue with the price when I look at it that way. There was no rush. They just let me enjoy my food. If you want a solid lunch, this is a good spot. I rated it as 5 starts just for the quality of the experience, fresh, tasty food, and nice staff. The cafe was clean and they had chilled Korean music on. The table next to me had the yukhoe bibimap. That was an impressive looking dish. If I pluck up the courage, I'll return for that beef dish. Follow me on Instagram and YouTube for more videos and posts about food & coffee.
