These guys just opened up and they are definitely setting up really high standards for their coffee. Black coffee only, brewed to perfection - only exception being an oat iced latte available.

I was pleasantly surprised from the extensive menu of wonderful single origin beans. It took me a few minutes to decide with the help of the staff. I decided on the Ethiopian pour over with berry notes but switched it to an iced version. The care and love with which the staff were preparing it could be seen from the table.

The coffee was brewed to perfection. I was slightly skeptical with the amount of ice that was in it but I was told instantly (as if the barista was reading my thoughts) that the ice amount has been incorporated into the recipe and won't alter the taste. True it was that it did not.

If there was one thing to point out is that the glassware is amazing and delicate and even though they enhance the experience of the knowledgeable coffee drinker, more care needs to be taken in handling them as mine had a tiny little chip. The delicious coffee overcompensated for that though.

Cannot wait to return; this place is such a great addition to the...

I thought I had reviewed Path already! I've had some great coffees here.

Victoria Street is a must-do in Melbourne, and if you're heading in that direction, you should visit Path. It's a coffee focused bar, serving mainly black coffees, oat milk lattes, and other drinks such as house specials, etc. However, they've introduced more food over time.

I've been a fan of the area for a while, I first went to Path a couple of weeks after they opened, and I've been at least every couple of months since. I work in the industry myself, and Victoria Street is an area where I'll often meet other hospitality champs to go for lunch.

On my last visit, I had the pie, it was really good. I indulged in a yellow Pacamara, and I shared a few other coffees, too. Standards are high here. they can be busy. I highly recommend waiting around if you can't get a seat.

Overall, it's a clean, minimalist space for coffee geeks. If you want to be a coffee geek too, swing by and pay them a visit. It's intimate, so they can talk you through all the coffees, etc.

Path Melbourne was the last stop on our Melbourne CBD coffee tour for this time - more exploration trips to follow soon.

Path Melbourne is only serving black coffee, at least this is what I have observed. They serve a large range of international roasters, and I saw some very familiar faces from countries I have lived in or visited before, for example Mame from Switzerland 🇨🇭, or Onyx from the USA 🇺🇸.

The brew bar looks super minimalistic and stylish. We ordered a washed coffee from El Salvador 🇸🇻, and before the barista started to brew, we found out that I have met the producers during the COE competition back in 2019! It is always a great pleasure to taste coffee from producers you know personally.

We then also got to try a Guatemalan filter coffee as a flash brew on ice 🧊. This one was very delicate choice, beautiful for the hot weather.

A very nice place with a beautiful area to sit outside, have a great chat over a tasty cup of...
