A quick bite to eat before comedy this place was recommended online with Broadsheet and as I continue eating my way through Vietnamese food this was a priority choice with their highly recommended Pho Soup.

We sat in the rear in what felt like a “store room / broom cupboard” as texted by my friend, as I was last to arrive, hence absolutely no atmosphere.

The handmade spring rolls were delicious, we ordered combination and chicken plates with 8 portions per serving. Plenty of lettuce leaves and funny story I accidentally dipped my lettuce wrapped spring roll into my tea whilst chatting.

We ordered 3x roti which came out at random times and we had to ask for our third which was missing until end of the meal.

The plastic binder spiral bound menu is extensive, if you are new to Vietnamese cuisine a tad overwhelming as when asking the waitress she appeared just as confused about the options/best choices.

As a result the wrong beef dish (no.65) came out and was promptly (or as promptly as it took for a waitress to deliver next dish to the storeroom) returned and replaced with a prawn fried rice (no. 100) even though it was still charged and paid for on our bill we realised after leaving as were in a hurry to get to show.

My Pho (no. 44) was perfection with its liquid gold stock and crispy chicken! Some added chilli oil and on this cold rainy Thurs night I was warmed through.

Many variations of crispy chicken and crispy noodles/rice presented at our table (no. 62, 73 & 91). All great aromatics and authentic traditional flavours.

As you can see, I find it quicker to ask for a dish order number as opposed to the dish name or ingredient when there is so many items and variations on a menu

Our meals came out haphazardly, I enjoy this but on this particular occasion we were wanting to eat quickly and this service slowed definitely down the dinner

I would def come back (they owe us an $18.50 refund) and enjoy the meal in a less rushed environment or just a quick takeaway order of pho, roti & spring roll easily.

I would love to try so many more dishes so will come by with my son before our...

This place needs to do better. Some of the food is decent (emphasis on some), but the service is dreadful. Inattentive staff, poor customer service, regularly confusion with orders going to wrong tables, staff asking customers to repeat and clarify their orders long after they've paid and waited - all of these things have happened without fail on every occasion if have dined in over the last few years.

Recently I had lunch with my partner, she ordered the Bun Bo Hue (BBH) and it was honestly putrid. I remember not enjoying it myself last year but this was something else. Feedback was immediately provided quietly and without causing a scene. No more than 2-3 spoons of broth were consumed.

While settling the bill the manager refused to take any responsibility, pinning the blame on our palates (my partner is Caucasian - little did she know that I am of Vietnamese heritage and an avid BBH lover - as is my partner who also lived in VN for 3+ years. No apology, remedy, replacement, or refund was offered.

If your food is so bad it is outright rejected and barely touched, AND you are notified immediately... the wrong thing to do as a business is to do nothing at all. Simply not good enough.

Pains me to pin a negative review on a small business but I've been an infrequent customer for a few years and they need the criticism - especially after in person feedback was...

An amazing experience all around! Portions were big, price was affordable for city rates, and the staff were very friendly and accommodating of dietary needs. The salad was incredibly tasty, flavourful and refreshing, and had a surprising amount of meat in it - almost a half to half ratio of leaves/meat! I highly rec the prawn and pork salad. For the pho, the beef tendon was wonderfully soft, though the rare beef was sliced on the thicker side (which some prefer). Adding veggies for $2 was a great opt I'd suggest trying if you like a wholesome soup experience. I wish this place was in Sydney, genuinely really enjoyed the food.
