Nice food when fresh but Warning for anyone wishing to order a delivery from Phillippaâs - be prepared for delays: I ordered three hampers on Sunday for delivery to different friends. Not one of them has received their hamper yet. Phillippaâs didnât complete the order till Tuesday, then sent it out Tuesday afternoon using Australia Post rather than a courier that specialises in food delivery. The biscuits and cakes arenât too much of a problem, but I was hoping my friends would receive fresh hot cross buns baked the same morning - not to be. At this rate, my friends wonât get it till tomorrow (Thursday) at the earliest. If Australia Post donât manage that then it will end up being received after Easter. Disappointing. Edit: Thank you for responding to my review, I visited your bakery on more than one occasion and was told that you only, only had the one type of milk which was the full cream milk, I even asked again and was told that by the lady that you definitely only carried one type of milk and it was full cream. I literally still go here regularly and asked again about the milk and got told once again that you only had full cream milk. It's really weird that you would lie...
   Read morePhillippa's bakery is a hidden gem. It's a weekly trip for me, and one I look forward to. The staff are incredibly friendly and the quality of food, bread, sandwiches and milk is amazing. We need more places like this, especially during tough times. To the person below complaining about selection (when times are tough, and they don't want to over produce) and about the hand sanitiser. I think you should think about what's important in life, and try to help these amazing small businesses, that make Melbourne what it is. And whilst you're at it, bring your own hand sanitiser...
