Pho Hien Saigon — Restaurant in Melbourne

Very disappointed with their service. I ordered to have Pho delivered today to eat a work. When it arrived it came cold. The pho soup was cold and the meat was cold like it just came out from the fridge. It came in a take away container not a soup bowl so I had no where to pour the soup out. I was not at home. I ordered it to be eaten at work so I had no access to a stove or microwave. I contacted the restaurant and the person advised me that food is always delivered cold unless specified that you want to eat it immediately and they would always deliver their pho the same way I received it. I have ordered pho many other places and it has always been served hot ready to eat without specifically advising pho must be delivered hot. I had to end up ordering another order and advising I need it hot, I need a bowl so I can eat it as soon as it's delivered. So please be aware and advise them of this before you place a delivery order. I was just confused with his answer and just wondering if he made that up instead of just admitting...

This review is based on genuine experience, the overall rating ive given is a 3/5. The place is clean and well maintained, nothing particularly special about their decor. Service was prompt food came out within minutes. No complaints in this department, the low score is due to their pho.. the noodles they use is not very nice (most places uses fresh rice noodles, if I believe correctly this store uses dried pho noodles, there is a definite difference in texture and overall pho experience). Their soup was not very pho like, it felt although it was lacking that wholesome richness of how traditional pho is meant to taste. (slow cooked pho that's meant to full of flavours and richness) if you're after a good pho place then this isn't it.. if you're craving for some authentic Pho then I'd suggest driving 10mins out to footscray, there's mich better tasting pho around there compared to sunshine. Nevertheless an okay experience, work on making your pho better guys.. you know...

Worst bowl of Pho I have had in a long time and I have eaten Pho regularly my entire life and I absolutely love Pho!. Everything wrong with this bowl. Broth was cloudy and grey. Broth tasted really sweet not bone sweet but too much sugar sweet which made everything else in it sweet. Broth was luke warm and not boiling hot. Rare beef was dry and turned white in color. Fatty brisket was stringy and the fat had a texture like over cooked tripe. Flank was dry and tasted like wet cardboard. (Too lean and machine sliced) Pho noodle didn't taste fresh it had a chalky texture unlike fresh Pho noodles with its signature silky and bouncy texture.

Calling yourself "The Best In The West" with this trash is embarrassing anyone saying this place has the best Pho you need to get out more!! Never again will I eat here...
