I recently visited Pure Pie at 727 Collins Street and was pleasantly surprised! The pies are clearly the star of the showâflaky pastry, generous fillings, and creative flavor combinations that go beyond your standard meat pie. I had the slow-cooked beef and red wine pie, and it was rich, hearty, and well-seasoned.
The space is modern and clean, with a casual vibe that's perfect for a quick lunch. Service was efficient, though a bit rushed during the busy lunchtime crowdâbut thatâs understandable given the location. Prices are fair for the quality, especially considering itâs in the CBD.
Only reason Iâm giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that I wish they had a bit more variety for sides or lighter options to balance out the richness of the pies. But overall, a great spot for comfort food done right.

Read moreGot a beef pie today from the Gassworks Market in Albert Park, the pie is ok but the ladyâs service from the stall is horrible, she is entitled and rude, I just asked for a bag and she looked at me like I asked for a million dollar: I donât have a bag, it comes in a box. Yes I knew it comes in the box I just wanted a bag so itâs easy to carry while I walked my dog, anyway! Thatâs not the problem, itâs ok not to have a bag, the problem itâs her horrible attitude even in the fist contact, she is too busy in her headphones too. You donât like customer service you shouldnât them work in a farmers market. Btw this is not the first time I buy from her stall, she is always rude and with an attitude. and letâs not forget there are not price at all of the products display...
Read moreBad service and I waited for a total of 35 minutes for my chicken pie that was expensive and cold.
At the Pure Pie stall, Coburg Farmers Market I was charged $12.50 for a chicken pie that was about the size of my fist. We were told itâll be 10 minutes to heat it up so we did a lap of the market before we went back. When it was served to me cold, I asked for it to be reheated but was confronted by a rude and vile lady who gave me attitude about how her convection oven isnât a microwave. And when I asked her, âwhen I should come back?â, she shouted, âI donât knowâ. So we got a coffee, chatted to another stall holder and did another lap of the market. After a total of 35 minutes, we got the slightly warmer pie and gave up.
I highly recommend...
