Read moreGot the char kuay teow to go, man was i disappointed. I have had a lot of char kuay teow in my life and this is the one that tasted the least like char kuay teow. The flavours and taste were just not right, it lacked a couple essential ingredients that are a must for char kuay teow. My fried egg came in a ball. Those prawns were not fresh prawns, very obviously frozen as they were tasteless and unseasoned. Also used frozen carrots. It was soooo oily as well! I was super disappointed by this meal, my expectations were from the great ratings left from others who have visited....
Read moreThis restaurant has been operating for 10 years already, and is an institution of West Melbourne. It is run by a courteous Cantonese couple with solid cooking skills and experience.
I ordered the Mapo Tofu. I was surprised that it came with sliced beef, rather than the usual beef mince. This shows quality. At only $13, this was a bargain.
The portions were generous, flavours were very good and the dish piping hot. Would reccomend it to anyone!
