San Churro Clásico South Melbourne — Restaurant in Melbourne

I dropped into San Churro in South Melbourne and was looked after by Sahand, and I have to say the experience was outstanding. From the moment I walked in, he made me feel welcome and looked after me like a regular, even though it was my first visit.

Sahand took the time to explain the menu, recommend dipping sauces, and even checked in afterwards to make sure everything was perfect. The churros came out fresh, crisp on the outside and soft on the inside — exactly how they should be. Paired with the rich dark chocolate dip he suggested, it was spot on.

What stood out most wasn’t just the food (which was excellent), but the genuine hospitality. Sahand has that rare quality of making you feel like you’re not just another customer but a guest. It turned a simple dessert stop into something memorable.

I’ll definitely be back — not just for the churros and hot chocolate, but for the great service...

A friend and I was after some dessert last night and was walking past Churros, it was packed so we decided to give it a try. We both had a coffee and cinnamon croffle and a scoop of gelato each. -Coffee was weak just tasted like milk -Croffle wasn’t flaky and the pastry was raw inside -The Cookie Dough gelato had a powdery feeling in the mouth and didn’t taste good -The dark chocolate gelato I though was okay but my chocolatier friend though it tasted watery Perplexed, we couldn’t understand why the place was so busy so I ordered a cinnamon churros for one to taste their main product. The churros was crispy and light but tasted like oil. The cinnamon sugar wasn’t sweet enough and didn’t stick to the churros. Very disappointing.

PS. The staff were very friendly...

I particularly enjoyed the churromisu iced latte cause it's kinda like mont blanc, but for this they have a yummy layer of tiramisu cream on top of a slightly sweetened espresso☕️ and so it's not too heavy on the sweetness❣️ Also liked the churromisu dessert cup!✨ it was sweet! but I liked the cookie crumbs & churros on top for you to dip in😋

Another highlight was the 'Naughty & Nice', such interesting name lol but it was thicccccc💥 for both the flavours and texture, if you want to try something interesting/different from normal hot chocolate, try this!🌟
