Sapa Hills was full so we were quickly brought over to Sapa Sisters.
Service was definitely more on the efficient side than friendly.
Fried Fat Noodle, DIY Pork Roll and the Grilled Pork Salad.
I found the salads to be the best tasting part of the meals. Everything was fresh and crisp with a fish sauce like dressing that added saltiness and sweetness at the same time.
The Fried Fat Noodle had a good flavour hit with the 5 spice and a nice hint of chilli ( I didn't find it too spicy). However, the noodles themselves were a let down as they were served in clumps and not that silky texture that I was expecting.
I was in between a 4 or 5 star rating but I'm gonna go with 4 because of the pricing. I do believe the quality doesn't exactly match the price, still good flavours but not for what they are charging.
Also, not sure if it's just me but I thought $6.50 was a bit much for a Vietnamese Iced Coffee as it's normally less than that at most other restaurants in Footscray, however they did serve it in a tall large glass that wasn't just packed full of ice so it was justified - in case anyone else...
Read moreThe interior design and overall atmosphere of the restaurant were exceptional, creating a comfortable and pleasant environment that was not overly noisy. I highly recommend ordering the Pho; the broth was rich and flavorful, providing a satisfying experience. However, the hoisin sauce had a flavor profile closer to soy sauce than the expected plum, though this was a minor detail. The only drawback was that the meat was somewhat dry and lacked flavor, but the richness of the broth compensated for this, making the dish enjoyable overall.
Service was also really good :)
Only went here because Pho Hung Vuong Saigon is closed Wednesday nights. If youâre picky about food but not atmosphere, the pho is better over there.
If youâre more into aesthetics and arenât that picky, this place is probably 2nd in Footscray (purely because of the sauce...
Read moreI was recommended chicken and prawn dumplings. I bit into the first one and there was something hard. It was a bone or tendon, not removed before cooking! I could have swallowed it! I felt sick almost immediately after eating the dumplings and less than 24 hours later, I have horrible food poisoning. I never get sick like this, it's the most aggressive food poisoning I've ever had. Something was off with their seafood/meat. I brought the bone to the waitresses' attention and they did nothing.. no apology, just made a remark that something must have hardened in the meat... um, no. Disgusting,...
