Today at noon, I found a hair in my food here, and the service was extremely poor. The female manager said, "It's just one hair, you should be more understanding towards us." (Inner thoughts: What do you mean, 'just one hair'?) "We have so many customers every day, you should be more considerate towards us." (Inner thoughts: Do I need to endure this just because I'm paying for a meal?) "It's just one hair, you're making things difficult for me. I'm just an employee." (And when I suggested calling the boss since she couldn't make a decision, she couldn't reach them either.) She spoke as if I was being unreasonable and causing trouble over 'just one hair'. If she had just replaced the soup with hair in it, wouldn't that have been magnanimous of her? I've been dining out for so many years and have never had a conflict with a restaurant. Shouldn't you reflect on this? While we were waiting for resolution, the "female manager" suddenly approached and took away the food (dumping everything into the trash) saying, "You just don't want to pay. If you don't want to pay, then leave right away." At this point, a male chef seemed to say, "They're just looking for trouble, let's go report them." Read moreFood was pretty good but it's a shame I had a pretty bad experience with the service. For those complaining about burnt rice, this is how the dish is meant to be (at least, in Malaysia), there's always going to be some burnt bits at the bottom (some people like it). Just leave those parts aside if that doesn't sit with you.
I ordered the claypot rice and when it was served, it came with a soup on the side. I didn't think too much of it and thought it was just part of the dish. But when it came time to pay, I was charged additional for it. I thought my meal was $17.50. But I was charged an additional $7.80 for that soup that I didn't order which made my total $25.30.
I did question if I was being charged correctly, but the server at the time wasn't very friendly, it looked like she wouldn't smile even if she won a million bucks at the lotto. All I know is that I didn't wanna pursue any further and just cut my losses as it's "just bad customer service".
I can't imagine they'd get my order wrong as I was the first and only customer there.
Whatever it is, if you ever do try this place, make sure you don't get any random dishes tacked...
