I thought the food was overall great, but having tasted our authentic Tex-Mex in Mexico and Texas, I will say the food is 3.5/5 but since the Guacamole didn’t have jalepenos or coriander, and needed a bit more lemon juice, I downgrade to 3
Salsas were nice but a bit lumpy and not “juicy” enough. I suggest it needs to be a bit more “runny” so it can easily be scooped - the pico de gallo was fine, nacho chips were good, and chicken burritos were filling, despite being a bit a bit drier than I am used to. Food also came out a little slowly and half our table that ordered before us got their dishes after we did - so service can improve. It also took 20 min and 2 reminders to get our drinks, but they were worth the wait. Loved my Mint Mojito. Finally, atmosphere was great and I think I will give this place a second chance, given how it has still the best Mexican food I have eaten in Melbourne…most other places would get 2/5 on taste and texture of their foods…so overall, this is...
Read moreEdit: The restaurant reply here is incorrect. 1. Uber Eats does allow a note to be added to the order, which I did. 2. Nowhere in their menus does it say there is salsa on the burrito, or that it is spicy. Shameful communication from this business. Uber Eats gave me a full refund.

Too spicy! The spicy salsa sauce on the Burrito Bowl is VERY spicy and there is no warning on the menu that it’s even a part of the meal. The first time I ordered it in-store I was very disappointed to find out that the meal is covered in very hot spicy salsa sauce. Some may enjoy this surprise, not me. Put a warning on the menu!
The second time I ordered the Burrito Bowl (via Uber eats) I wrote a note “NO SPICY SAUCE. ZERO CHILLI” which was completely ignored by staff. The meal arrived exactly the same as the first time, too spicy! Again, no warning on the menu AND my request to omit the salsa was ignored completely.
Do I bother to ever try this...
Read moreHonestly I’m not sure how they have so many 5 star reviews. The food is extremely average. The place has a lovely atmosphere and the staff were really nice! Our waiter was friendly. So only positive compliments there. The fish taco was alright and had nice crunch to the fish. However… the beef brisket and grilled cactus tacos we had were really dry. They had no sauce and too much plain lettuce. Sadly, the chicken enchilada was the most disappointing. No Mexican flavour/spice at all. Seems like they just got cold flavourless grilled chicken out of the fridge, put it in a corn taco, dressed it with plain lettuce, put the most bland tomato sauce you could have on top, finished with supermarket shredded mozzarella from a bag. The toppings were honestly like a bland chicken parmi you get from your local pub, but worse. Nothing Mexican about the flavours. Unfortunately, very below average food. I wouldn’t recommend...
