REVIEW: ๐Ÿ“โ™ฅ Top 3 favourites from LadyBoy Dining & Bar were the BBQ lamb ribs, the yellow curry of chicken & potato and the coconut rice!! We loved how tender the lamb ribs were, full of flavour and easily slipped off the bone. ๐Ÿ” Although the chicken wasn't in an appetising form (lumps and bumps of chicken), the yellow chicken is flavourful with its refreshing coconut taste. ๐Ÿฅฅ Speaking of coconut, I LOVE When the coconut rice actually has shreds of coconut in it! It's fragrant, lightly sweet, and an absolute dream. โž– Least favourite was the lamb shank massaman. More of a personal preference, I like my lamb shank to be hearty and meaty. However, this was a little bit light on the palate, with flavours taking more of a compliment to the yellow curry. The lamb shank was noticeably tender though. ๐ŸŒท Service was friendly, and they were on top with our water top ups and fresh plates. Food was quick to come out, presentation was on point. Interior was casual, with its exposed brick and colourful basket lights. Great place to catch up with friends!

LadyBoy Dining on Bridge Road is a fantastic spot for Thai food lovers in Melbourne. The restaurant's modern and chic atmosphere creates a perfect setting for a memorable dining experience. We enjoyed a variety of delicious dishes, from the flavorful Duck and Ginger Dumplings to the zesty Thai Ceviche. The Lamb Shank Massaman was a highlight, featuring tender meat in a rich curry sauce. The cocktails, such as the refreshing Shiso - fine and the playful Jedi Master, were expertly crafted and added to our enjoyment. The service was outstanding, making it an ideal choice for both intimate dinners and lively gatherings with friends. What we had: ๐Ÿฆ€ Soft Shell Crab Sliders ($17) ๐ŸฅŸ Duck and Ginger Dumplings: orange, chili jam, oil ($16) ๐ŸŸ Thai Ceviche: Fresh, bold, zesty flavors with Salmon ($21) ๐Ÿœ Pad See Ew: Slow-cooked succulent sticky pork belly with Chinese broccoli and egg fried rice noodle ($23) ๐Ÿ– Lamb Shank Massaman: A classic with perfectly cooked lamb shank in a mouthwatering curry base ($33) ๐Ÿฅ– Roti and Satay Sauce: Flaky roti served piping hot with authentic satay sauce ($10) ๐ŸŒ Banana Fritters: Perfectly cooked with honey and ice cream ($16) ๐Ÿน Singapore Sling: Bombay dry gin, cherry heering, bitters pomegranate, lime ($24) ๐Ÿธ White Gold: Malpaso Pisco, lemon liquor, elderflower, fresh lime, meringue, edible Gold ($24) ๐Ÿน Shiso - fine: Japanese yuzu infused gin, blood Orange, egg white, coconut cream, lime, salted popcorn, smoked paprika ($26) ๐Ÿธ Jedi Master: Absolute miniature, Midori, elderflower, lemon, pineapple, grapefruit, popping candy ($24) ๐Ÿฅƒ The Singing Lady: Johnnie Walker Gold, Frangelico, Lime, orange liqueur, syrup ($24)

Really enjoyed dinner here. My hubby and I got the 3 small plates for $39 deal plus a main and some sides. We opted for the fried chicken, Thai ceviche and soft shell crab sliders for the staters and the beef rib Penang curry as our main. Fried chicken was great and I enjoyed the salmon but would probably give the sliders a miss next time. The curry was delicious, loved that. The vegies that we got for a side was awesome, I highly recommend that and we also enjoyed the roti, though it was a bit too oily. Service was great, they were very friendly and helped with recommendations. This place is usually very busy on the weekend but we lucked out last night and got a table straight away (we called ahead to ask what the wait time was). Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to eat here though cause it does take a while for the food to come out.

If you're looking for a truly authentic and delightful Thai dining experience, look no further than LadyBoy Dining. From the moment you step inside, you are greeted by an inviting atmosphere that balances modern elegance with traditional Thai charm. The soft lighting, tasteful decor, and soothing music create a serene environment that's perfect for a relaxed evening with friends or a romantic dinner.

The staff at LadyBoy Dining are absolutely wonderful โ€“ their warmth and attentiveness set the tone for the entire meal. From the friendly greeting at the door to the attentive service throughout the evening, they go above and beyond to make sure every guest feels welcomed and cared for. It's clear that customer satisfaction is a top priority here, and it shows in every interaction.

But the real star of the show is the food. The flavors at LadyBoy Dining are a true testament to the culinary art of Thai cuisine. Each dish is an explosion of vibrant flavors, perfectly balanced with just the right amount of spice. Whether it's the rich, aromatic curries, the fresh and fragrant herbs in the salads, or the perfectly cooked stir-fries, the quality and taste are consistently exceptional. You can taste the freshness of the ingredients, and it's clear that great care is taken in preparing each dish.

What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the chefโ€™s personal touch. After we expressed our appreciation for the food, the chef himself came out to greet us with a warm smile and a genuine thank you. Itโ€™s a rare and thoughtful gesture that made our meal feel even more special. Itโ€™s evident that the chef takes great pride in his work and is personally invested in making each dining experience memorable.

In summary, LadyBoy Dining offers more than just a meal โ€“ itโ€™s an experience. The ambience, courteous staff, and extraordinary food make it a standout in the local dining scene. The personal connection with the chef adds a unique and heart warming touch that you wonโ€™t soon forget....

Food good, but when you undercook and make a mistake, it shouldnโ€™t be โ€œIโ€™ll feed that backโ€, it should be fixed. It shouldnโ€™t then be up to me tell you how to rectify it - replace the undercooked component, you could go above and beyond and take the โ€œfixโ€ to the next level, to impress the customer, not just take her suggested repair and lump with it: still, the replaced undercooked pieces, plus the overall meal, was quite tasty.

The meal was good, the maรฎtre d was good but please donโ€™t upsell - itโ€™s a little tacky, donโ€™t ask โ€œso, a wine or beer with that?โ€. Not everyone drinks and I donโ€™t want to be upsold, classy places let you advise them of your choices.

Table service perfunctory to say the least. Pointing fingers at you to โ€œstop youโ€ when you ask them kindly for service, swanning past you and barely making eye contact and having to interrupt them, giving blunt answers. As I got up to leave, the lady behind the counter saw me from across the room and pointed to the til and looked away. I told the waiter with glasses, braces and a lisp that I wasnโ€™t comfortable with that level of service. He smirked and pointed me to the eftpos machine. I asked if he had heard me, and he said โ€œI heard you and now Iโ€™m pointing you to the moneyโ€. I said โ€œno, you donโ€™t just point someone to payment, you humanise themโ€. The boy with glasses, braces and a lisp took up a chant โ€œIโ€™m pointing you to the money, I am pointing you to the moneyโ€. I spoke to the women behind the bar who looked at me in a defensive way, and I had to ask her to step aside so we could speak. I told her I was uncomfortable with the level of service and simply pointing a customer to payment, rather than treating them like a human, equal to all other customers. She seemed receptive but I got nothing other than smiling, no words.

Such a backward and arrogant attitude from this place
