What truly sets this restaurant apart, however, is the chef’s personal touch. Read moreFood good, but when you undercook and make a mistake, it shouldn’t be “I’ll feed that back”, it should be fixed. It shouldn’t then be up to me tell you how to rectify it - replace the undercooked component, you could go above and beyond and take the “fix” to the next level, to impress the customer, not just take her suggested repair and lump with it: still, the replaced undercooked pieces, plus the overall meal, was quite tasty.
The meal was good, the maître d was good but please don’t upsell - it’s a little tacky, don’t ask “so, a wine or beer with that?”. Not everyone drinks and I don’t want to be upsold, classy places let you advise them of your choices.
Table service perfunctory to say the least. Pointing fingers at you to “stop you” when you ask them kindly for service, swanning past you and barely making eye contact and having to interrupt them, giving blunt answers. As I got up to leave, the lady behind the counter saw me from across the room and pointed to the til and looked away. I told the waiter with glasses, braces and a lisp that I wasn’t comfortable with that level of service. He smirked and pointed me to the eftpos machine. I asked if he had heard me, and he said “I heard you and now I’m pointing you to the money”. I said “no, you don’t just point someone to payment, you humanise them”. The boy with glasses, braces and a lisp took up a chant “I’m pointing you to the money, I am pointing you to the money”. I spoke to the women behind the bar who looked at me in a defensive way, and I had to ask her to step aside so we could speak. I told her I was uncomfortable with the level of service and simply pointing a customer to payment, rather than treating them like a human, equal to all other customers. She seemed receptive but I got nothing other than smiling, no words.
Such a backward and arrogant attitude from this place

REVIEW: 📝♥ Top 3 favourites from LadyBoy Dining & Bar were the BBQ lamb ribs, the yellow curry of chicken & potato and the coconut rice!! We loved how tender the lamb ribs were, full of flavour and easily slipped off the bone. 🐔 Although the chicken wasn't in an appetising form (lumps and bumps of chicken), the yellow chicken is flavourful with its refreshing coconut taste. 🥥 Speaking of coconut, I LOVE When the coconut rice actually has shreds of coconut in it! It's fragrant, lightly sweet, and an absolute dream.
➖ Least favourite was the lamb shank massaman. More of a personal preference, I like my lamb shank to be hearty and meaty. However, this was a little bit light on the palate, with flavours taking more of a compliment to the yellow curry. The lamb shank was noticeably tender though.
🌷 Service was friendly, and they were on top with our water top ups and fresh plates. Food was quick to come out, presentation was on point. Interior was casual, with its exposed brick and colourful basket lights. Great place to catch up...
