Sforno Italian Restaurant — Restaurant in Melbourne

I was stopping by looking for some different cuisines to try, and thought why not try this restaurant? Mind you I make very un-wise decisions, but this has got to be my best yet, I went to Rome 2 years back and this pizza took me straight back to that place with its vibrant atmosphere and oh so good smell, I couldn’t wait to try and delved into my pizza, and I could tell it was stone baked, I’m so happy to find a restaurant that is now my new go to, I tried other dishes and they were so good I just had to make expand my stomach, my absolute favourite was the risotto and giant arancini balls, - because I’m vegetarian it’s hard to find suitable food, but this place has so many vegan and vegetarian options that I just couldn’t resist and am sure glad I didn’t! Not to mention the staff were so polite and gave me extra chicken salt in my chips, it was a guy named Arav who served me, great guy and an awesome place, definitely recommending it to everyone and coming whenever I can!!!

Superb Italian food and friendly, obliging staff. I have been eating their food for years now and introducing their menu to friends. All the pizzas are good, but my personal favourites are the Calzone and the BBQ Meat Lovers. Great range on offer with something for everyone inc vegetarians. The serves of pasta are VERY generous and will often feed me for a number of meals. I highly recommend the Chicken Avocado Linguine. Very tasty and filling. Veal and lamb main courses are great too. I think the best take away Italian food in the area. Give it a go!

2022 uodate: Although the management has changed twice since my above review, the food at Sforno has remained consistently high in quality. I have introduced friends to their Chicken avocado linguine and Calzone pizzas, and they have been highly impressed. The $29 lasagna would fit easily into a coffee cup. I am not exaggerating! This would not pass for a child’s serving. Two to three of these would be needed to compare to servings I have had elsewhere for less. I wish I could post a photo of how miserable this meal was. Only order from here if you’re not hungry.
