Silks Cranbourne — Restaurant in Melbourne

Sorry to say had the 3 course Senior meal and it was terrible well what I chose anyway. The Entre was 3 rings of calamari that was encased in thick batter that was dark brown either overcooked and/or used old oil and all rocket stringy lettuce Had the Barramundi asked with vegetables no chips, it came with chips so took it back just took the chips off and had Barramundi also encased in this huge oily dark batter without it the fish was dry and the vegetables were just all carrots not even one little potato Ordered fruit salad which was just a melon and watermelon with one grape, the melon was hard, at least had ice cream with it. Well for $23 I went home hungry and although did not eat much am sure will have a fat attack tomorrow For $13 at the Sands I can get a beautiful meal the vegetables are lovely get 3 or 4 roast potatoes, pumpkin, roasted carrot and cooked broccoli and beans. The service team were great as they have been the others times we’ve been however the food was less than average. The pumpkin soup was the colour of cream of chicken and didn’t taste like pumpkin. My arancini was overcooked and flavourless and I’m not sure what the sauce it was on was. My partner's chicken dish was also lacking much flavour and watery. The only thing that tasted good was the garlic bread however they were thinner slices than the last time - as if the ciabatta bread had been sliced into three slices instead of in half horizontally to get bread to serve with the soup or something. Came to this restaurant expecting a beautiful and elegant evening, however once we arrived and order our food we were distraught and utterly disgusted by the service provided (specifically by one particular staff member Erin with black hair). Me personally and another member of my family waited over an hour for our food and eventually had to cancel one order due to it never showing up. We were extremely disappointed as we were expecting to have a beautiful and calm evening for a celebration of a birthday.
