This is their third store and yet there’s no slowing down in their sell-out sanga showdown (don’t forget their fluffy donuts too).Amazing flavours fusing Western and Asian elements, toasting to perfection.
If you can’t make it on time before they sell out, good luck with their amazing collabs (dreaming of their smashburger toastie)
Pastrami (4/5): loaded reuben for sure, solid flavours with a perfect golden edge on the sourdough Truffle Chook (4/5): so refreshing and light despite that layer being thicker than a bible, my go-to Fried Chicken (5/5): No one knows how to fry a chicken as juicy, crispy & flavourful as Sloppy’s - literally the biggest piece I’ve seen sandwiched Truffle Mushroom Melt (4.25/5): hit with the truffle aroma, melted from the mushroom & cheese effect Tuna Melt (4.5/5): one of the most flavourful & loaded tuna melts that hit the spot Texan Pork (4.75/5): underrated as, I prefer this over the Reuben bc of the perfect balance of sweet & salty, almost giving American BBQ vibes in a toastie Mrs Kim’s Beef (4.5/5): familiar flavours for me but very explosive in flavour Sloppy Joe (3.5/5): sorted for your hangover feed, has that heavy cosy feeling Mortadella (3/5): my fave meat sandwiched between my favourite kind of bread, focaccia, however I needed some kind of creaminess either from a swap for fior di latte or stracciatella and/or a fattier mortadella deli meat
Donuts are a must, so fluffy & perfectly sweet. You cannot resist one once you walk into their array of colourful donuts. My fave is their apple fritter. Can be a bit doughy, but the flavour is just clever - pandan & maple bacon.
Focaccia could be a lil bit crispier, but they know how to work a sourdough bread.
Great sangas for a great value - hard to find in this economy. Love the work they do, always testing new flavours to create sangas that you won’t be able go find...

Where sandwiches meet perfection. 🤝
I was mind blown that a sandwich could taste this good, at an affordable price.
Purchased the Fried chicken sandwich & the Phat Thit (perfect names!)
Fried Chicken - This is chicken on overdrive! Juicy and succulent, a massive piece that will leave you full for the rest of the afternoon. The seasoning and overall texture of the meat was unreal! The coleslaw and sauce quantities were generous. The bread was very crunchy and suited the style of sandwich.
Phat Thit - Thit means meat in Vietnamese, and it's a highly clever play on words to create a highly clever sandwich. Would never have thought a Banh Mi could be transferred into a Sando, yet here we are! The flavours were authentic, reminiscent of trips to Springvale. Once again, highly generous serving size of the sandwich, good value for money. The bread was seasoned with sea salt flakes that was not too overwhelming.
Coffee - Decent coffee at a decent rate. No issues here. Beans used were Axil, so can't go wrong.
Staff - So friendly and welcoming. Felt like I was greeting old friends after so long.
Overall experience - 5/5. The shop has only been open for less than ONE WEEK, but their potential is UNLIMITED.
This is a MUST-TRY and will definitely become a future Melbourne icon.
Updated:

Read moreCame here early today and tried two of their sangas and four donuts. Food was amazing and the owner Joe as well as his staffs were friendly. The menu is well thought out with a huge variety of choices; definitely need to come back again to try some their other sangas and donuts.
Coffee: flat white with no sugar, strong coffee flavour and not milky; just how I like to enjoy my coffee.
Fried Chicken: the fact that the chicken sticks out from the bun from both ends is a good sign. The chicken was juicy and tender and the batter was crispy and well seasoned. Usually I prefer chicken breast over thigh but I can easily overlook that.
Texan Pork: the pulled pork was so tender and flavourful, definitely slow cooked to perfection and goes so well with the sauce and melty cheese. The sourdough was also prepared well with a nice outer crunch while the inside is still soft and not dry.
Donuts: had the raspberry white choc, birthday cake, Bischoff and strawberry sprinkles. Very unique texture unlike any other donuts I've had before; it was light, airy and springy with a nice chewy outer skin for additional texture. Each of the flavours were not too sweet and does not feel heavy in the stomach. Just be prepared to to get messy with the BD cake flavour. I think some flavours are not available daily, and also Joe told me he is working on some flavours so there's always something new from...
