Do not go here if you want a chai latte. Ordered a regular iced chai latte with soy milk. Same drink I have been ordering every day for the last 15 years. So I know what it tastes like. Ordered a grande size, and not only are the cups smaller so feels like they're ripping you off, giving you less drink and charging more $$. My drink tasted watery so I went back and asked the girl why. She says they add water to it now. I've been to many starbucks across the world including Australia, Japan, and America. The drinks have always been made the same and never had hot water added, unless you ask for the tea leaf bag version of chai. My drink had the chai syrup. It was so gross. Like they're trying to save money on milk or some cheap way to cut corners. It didn't even taste like milk was in my drink, it was so watered down. You could taste the sweetness of the chai syrup, that's it. Like i understand the cost of living crisis, but coat cutring like this is just disgusting, when you're already making such a HUGE PROFIT off these overpriced drinks. And there was a TON OF ICE already that's already dilute your drink and water it down. Like I dont understand why you'd to to add water. It was hot water as well, because when I first got my drink it wasn't stirrwd up or shake properly and I gor a big drink of hot water which I thought was really odd. So gross. I won't be going back to this Starbucks location, and it sucks because I have worked in the shopping centre for 7 years, that's why I go here every day. It used to be quick and convenient a sweet girly treat for myself that would get me through the day. I am so sad. I had a hard day at work, and my mom died a few weeks ago, I've been trying to save money and haven't bought myself a drink since her funeral. Ive even been walking to work to save myself a bit of money. But today I just wanted my sweet girly drink to cheer myself up. Something that's always been consistent in my life. But I couldn't even have that, I just went home and cried instead. Thanks...
Read moreit seems as though since he reopening, the service dropped significantly. The new staff are miraculously rude, for absolutely no reason. I went with my friend, 2 times, both of those times met with either a rude cashier or a rude barista.
First time, I watched as my friend approached the woman behind the cashier with a smile, yet she had a scowl and her tone was not suitable to the hospitality or device industry (i say this as i sued to be a bartender and FOH). My friend showed her starbucks card but the woman ignored her and said âsorry, too late.â
Itâs enough that she has social anxiety, I was encouraging her to be a bit more outgoing, but this just worsened it. The second time, she ordered a matcha with strawberry cold foam in grande size for me and a couple other drinks for our coworkers.
The drink came with normal cold foam and in yall size. She showed her payment and the staff still gaslit her to believe the order was right. She was about to leave when the barista said he could make another drink, and she was grateful yet guilty, apologising for something that wasnât her fault as the barista made it seem like it was. The drink she was given was a normal matcha latte. Good enough for her, NOT good enough for me.
I am absolutely appalled. I have worked in the service and food industry for a long time, and would never withstand any of my employees to treat customers, that have done NOTHING wrong and were polite, this disgracefully.
This happened TWICE. Not to mention the drinks were given with decreased quality, weren't sweet when theyvwere...
Read moreIâm writing to share my experience at the new Starbucks in Chadstone Pavilion. I couldnât find it on Google Maps, so I thought Iâd put it here. Itâs the first time Iâve been there today, and let me tell you, it was quite a surprise!
First of all, the place was sweltering hot and stuffy. I get that theyâre busy making coffees, but it was really uncomfortable. I couldnât bring myself to sit down to have my drink because of it.
Secondly, the customer service could be better. While I was waiting to be served, I could see and hear the staff laughing behind the counter while they were preparing drinks. It just seemed unprofessional, you know?
And then there was the time I was waiting to pick up my drink. I noticed that the staff would slide the drink over the counter instead of passing it to me. They would then go back to their work, and they didnât even sound friendly when they called my name. On one occasion, one staff member even spilled water on the counter without a lid, and he didnât even say sorry. That was just plain rude!
Overall, the customer service made me feel like a nuisance instead of being welcomed as a customer. The staff looked disinterested, like they didnât want to be there. Itâs not great, especially as a new store. I only gave it two stars because my drink was...
