I don’t usually write reviews, but after dining at PappaRich I felt compelled to share my unique experience, just in case anyone else is considering spending their hard-earned money here.
First off, let’s talk about portion sizes. I’ve honestly seen bigger servings at an airport lounge, and that’s saying something. For the price you’re paying, you’d think you were at least getting a meal that would leave you somewhat satisfied, but no. The dishes looked like they’d been plated for a child’s play kitchen — small, underwhelming, and definitely not worth the premium price tag. I left the table feeling like I needed to grab a snack on the way home, which is not exactly the feeling you want after a sit-down meal at a “restaurant.”
Then there was the chicken. Dry doesn’t even begin to cover it. Imagine cardboard, but with less flavour. It was stringy, tough, and honestly felt like it had been sitting under a heat lamp waiting for someone unlucky enough to order it. For a place that prides itself on Malaysian cuisine, I was expecting something juicy, tender, and well-seasoned. Instead, I got what I can only describe as the culinary equivalent of disappointment.
It’s almost impressive how the restaurant manages to combine high prices, tiny serving sizes, and dry meat into one unforgettable experience. Truly a masterclass — though not in the way you’d hope.
If you enjoy paying premium prices for minimal food that leaves you hungry and dry chicken that could double as shoe leather, this is the place for you. Otherwise, do yourself a favour and look elsewhere. There are plenty of restaurants that actually respect their customers’ appetites and wallets.

Read moreCame into Chadstone and ordered online and waited 30-40mins. My partner got his meal, and we even got asked if we wanted to order more food. We then called someone over because my food hadn’t arrived. They said the kitchen was closing…
Turns out they didn’t even make it and had forgotten. Meanwhile my partners food got cold while he was waiting for my food and they were cleaning the store to close.
Previously we had bad experiences at chaddy, but thought maybe since the refurb the service had changed. Well apparently not…. Thanks for ruining my night and leading me NOT to have dinner tonight.
Have emailed, messaged and commented on instagram but they honestly don’t even care!!! Waste of time and money bothering with this place!!! Would score less...
