Sulbing now has a small size option for their bingsu, and that is honestly the best thing ever. The smaller size means the ratio of the ice, toppings, and sauce is perfect, with each bite getting a bit of everything. Sometimes I think bingsu is too icy with no flavour, so fixing this ratio is game-changing. They have it available for their mango cheese, strawberry, and oreo flavors. We tried their:

▪️Mango Cheese Bingsu ($15.90) — mango, yoghurt powder, cheesecake, yoghurt ice cream ▪️Tiramisu Bingsu ($24.90) — cocoa powder, Parmesan cheese, caramel sauce, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, tiramisu cake ▪️Honey Butter Bread ($17.90) — soft bread, whipped cream, almond slice, butter, honey, chocolate and caramel drizzle ▫️Iced Black Sesame Latte ($7.50) ▫️Iced Tiramisu Latte ($7.50) ▫️Hibiscus Ade ($7.80)

We had a few favorites; the mango cheese bingsu in the small size was a great portion size and well-balanced ratio of the different elements. The toast was warm, soft, and buttery, not too sweet, and so addictive. The tiramisu one was a nice idea but the heavy cocoa powder topping meant the sauce couldn’t be absorbed into the ice, leaving it overall a bit unbalanced, icy and bitter.

We absolutely loved the iced black sesame latte; it was so tasty, and we would recommend getting the iced one over the warm one (the warmer one tasted more like warm nut milk…), and the tiramisu latte low key just tasted like a standard latte. However, we really enjoyed the hibiscus ade; it was so refreshing!

Now open in Hawthorn with a great range of new drinks, bingsu flavors, cakes, waffles, and hot food items like toast and cheese...

Always a bingsu weather in Melbourne and you gotta check out the new @sulbing.australia store in Hawthorn. It’s super aesthic and a good dining spot for bingsu and yummy Korean desserts and drinks.

We got to try an whole array of desserts from their menu:

Tiramisu bingsu Matcha strawberry bingsu, Mango cheese bingsu, Strawberry bingsu, Honey butter bread, Choc and Oreo vanilla toast, Grapefruit ade, Black sesame latte, Matcha latte

That mango cheese bingsu, their classic one, always has my heart, can never go wrong with it. And I love the freshness of it. But yes I’d recommend the tiramisu one to all the coffee lovers, it’s new and a must try. Strawberry matcha was my second favourite from the lot.

Both the toast were so crispy and yummy, absolutely irresistible must try. And oh my that black sesame latte took me by surprise it was so good. Highly recommend

The service is fast and the staff are super lovely and friendly folks. Always have a great time here. So visit the new store this week for a delicious and refreshing bingsu treat with your friends/family...

This location consistently closes earlier than advertised! On multiple occasions, we’ve driven here expecting it to be open until 10 PM, as listed on Google, only to find it shut by 9 PM. Tonight, we arrived at 9:20 PM specifically to visit Sulbing, only to discover it had already closed early—again. Despite the restaurant still being busy inside, with about six customers dining, there were four of us waiting outside along with others who were equally confused and disappointed. This is a clear loss of business! We even called the Hawthorn Sulbing to ask why they had closed early despite the listed hours. The staff member we spoke to sounded nervous and simply told us we could "come back." It’s frustrating to see the restaurant turning away paying customers for no apparent reason. Whoever was managing this Friday night needs to be held accountable, and the owner should be aware that this is happening. Please update your hours accurately or ensure staff follows the advertised...

Sul Bing serves fantastic desserts with fresh fruit and a delicious base topped with ice cream, cream, and condensed milk. We ordered the mango and pineapple with cheesecake, which was incredibly refreshing, perfect for a warm, sunny day after university. They brought it out on a tray, and while there was a station to collect cutlery, the staff kindly delivered it to our table as well. Though the price was a bit high, it was very filling. My girlfriend and I could barely finish it, so we took the rest to-go for her to mix into a smoothie the next day. The restaurant was well-maintained and spotless, with soft music creating a relaxed atmosphere. We noticed some uni students studying there, and I’m considering joining them next year. If you’re nearby and craving a fresh, summery treat, give this place a try, it’s well worth it for something cold and refreshing!
