This place has been my go-to over over a decade and it has gone through a transmogrification through a small number of owners from the originals (who featured Australia's #1 coffee art champion Nobu (not related to the restaurant chain) who moved back to Japan, to another gentleman who raised the bar even further and now to the most amazeballs father-son team (Marco and Aaron) who have elevated it to Legend Status in the neighbourhood. The food menu is narrow but excellent, and the service and attention to detail is wondrous and some major restaurants could learn a thing or two (about a thing or two) about how a local cafe can make you feel so special about a muffin or banana bread and coffee whether you're lingering around or in a hurry. Other than being killed by a mom on her way to/from yoga who can't understand either basic traffic lights at Martin and New St or reverse park without wiping out another car and bystander (which provides for endless entertainment from pre-dawn till mid afternoon) it's a flawless epic experience with the best coffee around, and EXCELLENT coffee is a rarity despite the proliferation of cafes and shops within the 5 k radius than Chairman Dan allowed us to visit not so long ago. It also has a great courtyard out the back which is gorgeous and quiet in case you want less hustle and bustle with your meal or coffee. My fave irreplaceable treat 7...
Read moreThere’s Random… and then there’s ‘Superrandom’. Thankfully, Ibrahim Houli has brought his methodical nature to this bayside café since taking over a few months ago.

Speaking of circular forms, this café is famed for its cyclist cliental. It makes sense, considering Superradom resides on New Street, and sits at the doorstep of many bike trails. It’s even got its own separate bicycle entrance out back, so riders can take a pit spot without hassle.
They’re also pet friendly, which helps when you’re in an area that treats fur babies like family.
Superrandom caters to the time poor, but caffeine hungry folks of the south.
Food offerings are focused on grab and go options, which pair well with coffee by Mikro...

We didn’t know what to expect rocking up at this café, only a 10 minute lazy walk from the beach.
The staff are absolutely welcoming and the menu has some really nice options. The prices are very reasonable as well. For $11.50 a toastie and $12.50 for a wrap, there are no complaints here.
We were served the most amazing oat magics. They are using Cartel Coffee Beans and they follow all proper practices to produce the most amazing product, they’re weighing all their shots, backflashing, separate grinders, the whole lot.
The food is simple, but delicious; think toasties with chicken and cheese, Philly cheese steak and triple cheese.
We were impressed with your coffee and will be returning whenever in the...
