The only thing this place has going for it is the atmosphere and beautiful building. I've been a few times now but this will be the last. I'm surprised to see so many good reviews because unfortunately this is not one.

Ordered the eggs Benny. Hollandaise was like water and way too much spinach on the plate to make up for the lack of mushrooms with no flavour. Coffee was bitter. Toilets were absolutely disgusting. They are right by the kitchen so you think they would try to keep them somewhat clean. They have food stored right outside in the hallways too. Lucky I had already eaten.

Service: One blonde waitress in particular couldn't do more for us but the man working behind the front counter and coffee machine seemed like the owner but had no customer service skills. No hello as we walked in...just looked at us and told us it was table service. When we came up to pay he barely looked up and shoved the eftpos machine at us without a word. When I asked to pay separately ( because he assumed we were paying together) his response was "you'll have to wait" so we did. How about asking us how our meal was instead? Please work on your customer service. I hope he was just having a bad day and it's not a regular occurrence.

Many other places around the area with excellent customer service and...

Always incredible, always amazing, never a disappointment. It’s been an incredibly long time since I’ve managed to find the time to visit The Bond Store, which has been a shame. Truly pleased that I’ve managed to carve out some time to renew my connection to this outstanding venue. For those unfamiliar, the location may be the reason why - it’s a little hidden, tucked away from the main thoroughfare of the riverside boardwalk of Southbank/Southgate adjacent to the Eureka Tower area, and near Freshwater Place, but certainly worth looking for if you’ve never been here.

From the moment you step inside, you’ll be taken away by the decor and ambience - do try and come during a quiet time away from the busy breakfast and lunch times to soak in the atmosphere fully to admire the building and layout, which is stunning. Then take your time to enjoy the attentive service, the cosy atmosphere and fantastic range of food available.

And for those aiming to whet the whistle with an alcoholic beverage or two, there’s plenty to choose from in that...

Reserved a table for two, two weeks ago, after a decent wait....no reserved table so we were put outside.Ok, Nice morning no problem. Heres where its really went down hill took ages to be able to place an order, way longer for food to arrive. One order was was wrong and had to be returned. When right order came out long after my friend had finished their breakfast, it was actually cold. One of coffees (we only ordered two) never arrived and the bottled juices came out just as I had finished with my breakfast. All up it took over an hr and half from sitting down to get to the bottled juices. Store wasnt busy and three different waiters were servicing our area. Table in front of us left after their drinks and cancelled their breakfast. Disappointed in The Bond Store, as it had such great reviews. Wish Id 'booked' somewhere else, rarely get Melbourne over the last few years and this was just such a let down, many other cafes and restaraunt visted this weekend who all did an excellent job in the light of recent events....The Bond Store...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming cafe that left me craving for more. From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere The cafe's cozy interior, adorned with tasteful decor and soft lighting, created the perfect ambiance for a relaxing meal. Now, let's talk about the star of the show – the sandwiches. The Reuben sandwich at this cafe is an absolute delight. Each bite was a burst of flavors that left me wanting more. If you're a cheese lover, you're in for a treat. The triple cheese sandwich at this cafe is a cheese lover's dream come true. With a delectable blend of three different cheeses, each one perfectly melted and oozing with flavor, this sandwich is a true indulgence. The bread was toasted to perfection, adding a satisfying crunch to every bite. Aside from the mouthwatering sandwiches, the service at this cafe was top-notch. The staff was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable about the menu.

This is a hidden place good to hide from the boss! Joke aside, the place felt a bit mysterious since we entered through their back door passing through a gate with private property sign. The restaurant was a bit dark and warehouse like but stylish too. We ordered their vegetarian dishes and both were really good. Their smoothie and juice were nice too but they come from prepackaged bottles. I was hoping they made them fresh. The staff were friendly and attentive. So, overall it was a good experience. We will come back again next time to try their other dishes.
