The Fried Guys is a sandwich shop located on Pascoe Vale Road in Moonee Ponds. They specialise in fried chicken, serving up wings, sandos and loaded fries. 🍗

They’ve gained popularity for a couple of their dishes that we could not wait to try, first being their Katsu Curry Dipper Sandwich. Housed in a crunchy tiger roll is fried chicken, a potato croquette, pickled veg and mozzarella. It tasted delicious on its own, but elevated even further by pairing it with a tub of Japanese curry sauce. 🥖

The second item that had socials going wild was their Raising Canes (American fast food store) Dupe. Comes with 3 crispy chicken tenders, crinkle cut chicken salt fries, drool worthy brioche garlic bread and RC sauce. This was my favourite pick on the menu, but it is a special and sadly only for a limited time so get in quick. Maybe we can convince them to keep it?! 🙏🏽

We also tried their Katsu Sando and Indo Fries, both nice and very generous. Could have more of a drink selection. Overall impressed with this spot, the crumb, flavour and cook on their chicken is top tier. Being local I know I’ll definitely be back to try more of...

PSA! Toasted sandos, loaded fries and crunchy wings with an Asian twist! Hands down the BEST toasties we’ve had to date!

Everything was so gahdayum CRUNCHY! I know toasties have been a bit of a trend lately and plenty of places do a pretty decent one, but these were next level delicious. The pastrami stack was toasted to crunchy perfection with flavourful filling and a pickle to accompany. The showstopper was the katsu curry dipper though - insanely crispy Japanese fried chicken with a fluffy potato rosti, crunchy toasted baguette and the best part is the delicious curry sauce you dip it into! this is such a big box of food for only just $22 like that’s crazy. psa: we had chicken breasts instead of chicken tenders as there was some issues about supply or something?

anyways, the chicken was fried extremely well i loved how crispy it was. the chicken itself too was really moist and juicy. the size of the chicken though was insane it’s so big and there was like 4 pieces.

the fries were pre good too, extremely crispy and i really liked the seasoning too.

the bread, omg, was so much better than ‘college dropout’ liek it was so crispy, so buttery, and it was delicious making the famous raising canes toast combo with the chicken, fries, and toast together.
