North x Northwest — Restaurant in Melbourne

My new favorite cafe, can't say enough nice things about it. Found it by accident with my husband on Saturday. Dragged my brother out here on Sunday and we all love it. It is calm, light and airy and the perfect place to sit for a few hours or pop in for quick pick me up.

The slight sunken nature of the building makes you feel safe and snuck yet still so light you could be on a cloud. Music is soft adhd subtle so you never have to talk to loud to hear but still cant hear others conversations!

Everything is maticlous from the perfect poured coffee, the subtle beauty of the food that is almost to pretty to eat (almost). I also love that they have lightly sparkling tap watter and to top it off the wifi password is in the menu.

The coffee and food were alright, though my toastie felt a bit steep given its size and the amount of fillings. The cafe itself is nice and cozy.

However, I had an odd experience when the owner asked about my matcha latte. When I mentioned it tasted diluted, he responded with "everyone has a different preference." While I understand that, it felt odd to ask for my opinion if it wasn't going to be addressed.

He did offer to make a new one just as we were about to leave, which was too late. The situation could have been...

This hidden gem is the best breakfast and coffee you’ll have this side of the city.

The food is perfectly made and the coffee is pure magic every single time. The managers and staff keep things lite and the whole place has a relaxed feeling. You never feel like NxN is trying to be more than simply amazing food and good coffee.

If your looking for a good place, well priced with a relaxed ‘Sunday morning’ vibe this is the place.
