We are locals and have been there a few times, definitely feel it has been on the decline. Service can be hot and cold, one evening our main course was delivered in a brisk 5 mintues after we ordered however the acompanying steamed rice dish took nearly 10 minutes to arrive and when I questioned the staff the they just nodded and looked at me as if I was being difficult. When I asked them for a coke and specfied I would like a can, they became difficult and insisted on delivering a flat, warm post mix glass of coke that I was unable to drink. They eventually gave me a can but warned me next time that this would not be possible and they would only serve me their flat, warm, post mix. When the time came to order again the manager insisted that i would only be served post mix. When leaving I asked if I could speak to the owner and was told this would not be possible as the owner does not talk to customers. Suffice to say I have not been back and honestly I can't remember being treated so rudely and poorly by...
Read moreWe were headed to the botanical gardens and stopped by golden triangle to pick up a picnic prior. Conveniently located just across the road the interiors were gorgeous and it would have made for a lovely dine in setting. We waited about twenty minutes for the food and when we opened up the containers I couldn’t believe how thoroughly delicious everything was. Three of us opted to share (husband stuck to his healthy chicken cashew nut solo) and all of the dishes were absolutely packed with flavour. The sauces were a sensation with the chicken satay even managing to make the broccoli taste amazing. The coconut rice wasn’t as coconutty as I tend to like but the roti bread and peanut sauce was a winner. The prawn pad see ew was phenomenal such great flavours and the veg were all super fresh too. The pad Thai was also excellent (we stuck to the classics!) and the containers were all full to the brim. This will now become our standard pre moonlight cinema dining stop. I cannot believe I never knew...
Read moreBest Thai restaurant in Melbourne!! Every year before heading to Lightscape, I come here and eat dinner, and it never disappoints.
The food is super fresh, delicious, and oh my gosh, the spring rolls are to die for. The flaky but crunchy pastry is amazing, and a great appetiser before enjoying your main meal.
This time around we ordered Pad Grapow and Kana Moo Grump and the plates were completely wiped clean. The serving sizes of these dishes is quite generous, so you know you are being fed well here.
For dessert, we decided to try the Taro custard with Mango Ice-cream. I personally wasn’t a fan of the taro custard myself, but the mango ice-cream was flavourful and delicious.
If you’re looking for a fantastic Thai place in Melbourne, you cannot look past The Golden Triangle.
The atmosphere of the place is also quite lovely. You’ll love it there. Highly recommend you book a table for yourself. Will always be...
