Punting on the Lake — Local services in Melbourne

What AN AMAZING experience for anyone who either lives or is visiting Melbourne! Booking is so easy and confirmation is sent straight away shortly followed by a text message with very clear and informative information about how to find the boat. As the Botanic gardens are HUGE, this information was extremely helpful! My advice to all visitors is, if getting an uber or making your own way to the gardens on the day, put The Terrace Cafe into your gps to ensure that you enter the gardens at the correct entrance. You don't want to cut your ride short because you're running late from entering at the wrong end! As soon as you get to where the punts are docked you are greeted by the lovliest staff members! Everything felt so special! You are treated like royalty really and given a helping hand to get onto the punt. As it was sunny, we were given parasols which made the experience even more gorgeous! We really did feel like two Queens being taken on the most relaxing journey. We also had Captain Max the dog join us for our ride! Once our trip was over we had our photo taken so we will have some memories of this great experience forever! I also want to add that this is a small business owned by a gorgeous couple. It is not owned by a big fancy company who cares more about the money rather than the guests and their enjoyment. These lovely people deserve all the success in the world and I can't wait to go back and do it...

we had to reschedule our booking due to extreme weather, which was completely understandable as it was almost 40°! my friends and i were given the option of a refund or to change the day and we are so happy we opted to wait out for another day! the person at the reception was very sweet and understanding that we were running late, we were just reminded that we may not be able to do the full duration due to the timing for other customers (again, completely understandable). the desk/customer service worker that served us was so lovely and set the tone for our experience! i think her name may have been jenna or gemma, shout out to her! my friends and i were quite nervous to go on the boat but our tour guide sam made the duration of our ride so so so comfortable! he was great to have a chat, laugh and banter whilst also being well informed on the flora and wildlife that the botanical gardens and lake have to offer. he was very easy to talk to and we loved the energy he brought to the table (well, boat). thank you to sam for the conversations and making my friends and i have a fantastic first experience as 3 people who are slightly afraid of water and boats. will definitely be back in the...

My partner, parents and I did punting on the lake for my birthday. It turned out to be a beautiful day full of sunshine weather wise when it had been cold and raining only the day before. We had an absolutely wonderful time, loved every minute of our one-hour ride. It was both relaxing and informative. Ayami was so lovely, telling us about the animal, fish and bird life in and around the lake and how she and her husband have been running the business for about 10 years. Ayami asked if Captain Max could come with us to which we said YES! as we are dog lovers. He is gorgeous. Having had two rescue dogs myself until recently, we also spoke about our love of animals. It was just a lovely way to spend the afternoon. Ayami was very friendly and accommodating and just a lovely person to interact with. We thoroughly enjoyed punting on the lake and we'll be back again. I highly recommend...
