I am in the Travel and Hospitality Industry.

Visited Amora Riverwalk Hotel Richmond 13-14Dec 2023, Rooms are very clean and tidy. Any services requested, delivered promptly. Reception and allocation of room very efficient. Additional Information sought was given with zeal.

Visited the Restaurant for breakfast. All staff are working with so much energy and courteously. After observing the breakfast operation; would like to make two personal mentions. Chef: Tess and Restaurant staff Ms. Nicola. They both were absolutely amazing and fantastic. Tess, is super efficient and a pro in delivering her duties from the kitchen which makes the Restaurant staff's duties and delivering, so easy and with guest satisfaction.

Nicola, Superwoman..! Very efficient, courteous, prompt and discharged her duties so energetically & consistently. Very bubbly and a courteous member at Amora.

I hope this review will assist in boosting moral and in adding another building block in continuous improvement and maintaining consistency in your services. Thanks.

Fresco Restaurant doesn't stand out particularly well, especially when compared to other hotel restaurants in Melbourne CBD.

However, there's one thing that surprisingly does and it's their MSA certified Australian black angus eye-fillet steak. It is always tender, juicy and well portioned. The steak knife just glides through without much effort. You also get a generous serving of their chips and sauce (the brandy and Madagascan green peppercorn cream sauce is easily my favourite). Their pork dishes are quite good as well.

There have been changes over the years: the presentation of their grill dishes look a little tacky since they switched from white ceramic sauce cups to coloured plastic ones; and since manager Annie Wohlgehagen left the quality of service varies from professional to graduate (new manager is not great or professional, sadly), but thankfully the steaks have not changed.
