All of this, plus a Coke Zero priced at $24.50, is a steal in the Docklands area. The quality of the katsu wasn’t the best, as it had an darker color, but it was still fine in terms of flavor and taste. I found the katsu batter to be fried a bit too long, but that’s just my personal preference. The teriyaki chicken had a crispy crunch to it. My guess is that it was either deep-fried or pan-fried in oil, then topped with teriyaki sauce, which I haven’t encountered at many places. The flavor profile was enjoyable, though. The rice was cooked well—not mushy or hard—and the mashed potato was a great option to balance out the heavy teriyaki flavors. The side salad had the roasted sesame kewpie dressing that’s typical of many Japanese places, and it was pretty good. The wait time was impressively fast, within 5 minutes. Also would prefer silver cutlery but the takeaway cutlery did the trick still.

ORDERED: 🍤🍚 Ebi fry curry ($17.50) + Card surcharge I paid $17.79 here. REVIEW: ❌ Not much to be said when the rice is al dente. I'm talking about undercooked rice where I could taste the hardness after getting past the moist upper layer. 😭 Maybe Tsukino Shizuku didn't want the rice to get too soggy under the weight of the curry, but undercooking rice is not the answer. ✔ Generous servings of rice and curry. ✔ The fried ebi was delicious and worked well with the richness of the curry! 🪑 We dined in. We were provided with takeaway utensils which had room for improvement. The soup spoon walls were too high, making it a poor tasting experience. Better than having no spoon I suppose. 😎 Interior was nice cool with Japanese motifs (art and ceremonial fans).

Had high hopes for this place but sadly disappointed. $16 for this isn’t worth it, they didn’t have katsu (what I ordered) so I compromised for this other chicken but such a tiny portion. Curry tastes good but yeah definitely not $16 worth for what I received.

I've come here a few times and the food is decent. Not great but satisfactory for a work lunch. But one thing that's consistent on every visit is how disorganised the staff are and how slow the food preparation is. My last visit was probably the worst. After waiting in line to order and subsequently waiting 30 mins, I discovered they lost my order requiring me to order again and getting placed back at the end of the queue. Another 15 minutes later I had to give up because I was running late for a meeting. So if you have a spare 2 hours for lunch, sure give it a try. But if you're looking to grab something quick during your lunch break, there are better options...
