Urban Reserve — Restaurant in Melbourne

We had booked a table on Saturday night for 7 people. I had accidentally booked the Friday instead of Saturday which I messaged right away to change. They were great and said it was no problem and they were able to fix our booking for the correct day. We arrive to our booking at 7 o’clock and were placed on 2 small table which was fine however we were then told due to another booking in 40 minutes we would lose one of the tables. Whist eating we had to squeeze all 7 of us onto a small round 3 seater table. We were told as we messed up our booking there was nothing they could do which I could of understood HOWEVER our booking should of been denied if we weren’t able to fit rather than shoved in a corner and rushed. We then had to leave as they had another booking on our table coming in. We left and enjoyed our night elsewhere, it was extremely disappointing.

I have never been so disrespected and mistreated in my whole life like I was by your venue security tonight. My family and I have spent a lot of money at your venue but tonight we will never return again. My friend and I came to your venue at 10.45pm tonight, we were completely sober, in causal wear, to which we were rascally profiled by our look and what we were wearing. Firstly your 2 front security looks us up and down and made remarks to eachother, then determined to us your venue was full and no room for you, to which 3 members were leaving the venue and they said no they still couldn’t fit us in. Cocktail menu has some great, non-traditional options which tantalise the tastebuds!

Rooftop is stunning and a great view on a warm, sunny day. Downstairs has been well put together with a modern, industrial design.

They've paired up their food menu with a Vietnamese restaurant down the road, which was an ingenious idea - delicious food!

One star loss as some of their cocktails are pushing $30 - one was $32! I am happy to pay for a great vibe and great cocktail combo, but this was a bit shocking to me. Some of the most boujee cocktail bars in the city dont charge over $26!

Still worth a visit and I will be returning...
