V Wine Salon – A Hidden Gem for Wine Lovers
What a beautiful find! I stumbled upon V Wine Salon while walking past and noticing the charming bar seating along the window—it instantly drew me in. I’m so glad I followed that instinct and later returned with friends for a wine night to remember.
Interior & Atmosphere: The space is sweet and rustic with a pared-back, minimalist charm. There's a cosy, intimate feel throughout, with comfortable upholstered seating, including booths and lower, lounge-style seats that invite you to settle in and stay a while. The counter bar along the window is especially lovely—it’s how I discovered the place!
The space is small and highly sought after, so bookings are essential—seating is limited and time-restricted, but that helps ensure everyone gets a good experience without feeling rushed.
Service: The service was professional, warm, and extremely knowledgeable. The staff gave us excellent wine and food pairing suggestions and took time to share insights about the origin and notes of the wines. It added a lovely layer to the evening.
Food & Wine:
Baked Brie with Black Truffle Oil, Honey & Rosemary: This dish was phenomenal. From dipping the sourdough into the warm, gooey centre, to breaking through the golden Brie skin and scooping every last bit—it was rich, earthy, aromatic, and just unforgettable. Days later, we’re still gushing about it.
Charcuterie Board: Featuring La Hoguera Duroc Serrano (aged 18 months)—this board was beautifully curated with quality cheeses and meats. Perfect for sharing, and the accompaniments were fresh and thoughtfully presented. Wine: We paired our food with a light-bodied Gippsland Pinot Noir, which complemented the richness of the Brie and charcuterie wonderfully. The staff were spot on with their recommendation.
Overall Vibe: This is the kind of place where you can truly unwind with friends over great wine, nibbles, and conversation. Warm, intimate, and full of character—it’s a must-visit for wine and cheese lovers, especially if you’re looking for somewhere relaxed...

Read moreAnother Gem in Melbourne Wine Bar scene!! As you enter the bar you can feel the vibe and distinctive atmosphere of well organized bar. Something that is very important for us is that balance between background music and sound of people chatter that makes you comfortable and relaxed Well, they've nailed it on that matter. Service was excellent (Thanks Cal...), attentive, friendly but not over the top...exactly what you want. Menu was not extensive but well selected (we can recommend Baked Brie & Foie Gras) and really great wine list (we had Domaine de l’Enchantoir l’Ilot des Biches 2020 Cabernet Franc....beautiful taste, fruity with a bit of spice ) and that one went down realy well ...so we had to replenish our glasses!!!! We would recommend the "V Wine Salon" to anyone looking for a cozy night with friends, date or even just "wind down" night on your own to strip down the stress of an intense day behind you We will be visiting again,...
