Valentinos Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Melbourne

Randomly found this place when early for an appointment. Very original from the outside with a new generation of owners, it appears very much a family business.

The lighting out the front almost stimulated an epileptic fit, I suspect it was set up for incandescent globes but now running LED, if that doesn't stop you... inside is clean and well set out. The menu is very clear and all prices appear accurate. This is appears a true family business with multiple generations taking different roles in the production line. Thus far I've only had a couple of souvlaki which were very tasty, I assume it's the home made marinate on the lamb and garlic sauce that help to make this choice really quite impressive.

ATM is nearby but I think they also take plastic.

I'm looking forward to going back and trying...

Back in 1908, before the industry was even known for its fish and or chips, I started this business venture with only a few silver coins in my back pocket. I Thought to myself, how do i become the fish king? I FOUND MY ANSWER, the fish of the chips. Sensational. Before I go any further I have to let everyone know that this is my local fish n chips / hamburger shop. I've been coming to shop for nearly 20 years and I can't see myself stopping until rhe quality of the food goes down. It's fast food but the fact that they took it over and have continued to thrive is testimony to the quality of the food that they do .
