Banh Mi Thit Phuong Nga — Restaurant in Midland

Disappointed with the service today, which really is a shame because we LOVE the Banh Mi’s and get them every Thursday. We will not be back.

My partner asked for two Crispy Pork Rolls… he walked back home and we opened them. Unfortunately they were the wrong pork and I noticed after I took a bite of mine.

He went back to the store and spoke to the man at the front who’s always there. He explained the situation & the man said he can only swap the one without a bite in. My partner was frustrated by this however said okay, I will just purchase the second one then as I need two. The transaction gets processed and then the man proceeds to come back with just 1 Banh Mi. My partner explains he’s now paid for three rolls, and will only be walking away with 1 as we won’t eat the one that was wrong. The (i assume owner) got annoyed by this and kept arguing with him, eventually he gave in and made a second roll.

I can’t believe the service like this? If you get something wrong you rectify it. We cannot support a business that clearly doesn’t care about its customers. We would much rather go and support a place that has better service & worse food....

We went out of our way to visit for lunch today after reading the fabulous reviews. We really wanted to like this place but the hype in the reviews didn't deliver.

Sorry to say, very disappointed and if others think this is the best Banh Mi in Perth! (umm what?) then clearly they need to get out more. Look, it wasn't terrible, but!...the tiny sliver of meat, if you could call it that, doesn't rate, at all! When I ordered, I was offered "extra meat". I declined, wanting my review to honestly reflect the quality here.

We ordered two rolls. A Chicken & also a Crispy Pork. What we got was a tiny sliver of meat, a very mediocre bit of salad and a large crusty roll. The chicken was miniscule, as was the crispy (not) pork. Neither would have amounted to a tablespoon full. The roll was really nice, if we just wanted a bread roll. All up it wasn't worth the $7.50 per roll. More like $4 to reflect what was actually provided.

One should not have to order "extra meat" to have meat included in their roll. Definitely nowhere near "the best". Gave 2 stars for the prompt, friendly service, but...

We've been trying out some banh mi's around to see where is the best one and we tried out this place. We went about a few minutes before closing time but the guy who served us was still very accommodating and happily served us. Now the banh mi : we got the ones with crispy pork belly because it is our favorite. It was nice and very spicy so if you want yours hot it wouldn't disappoint. However, I'm not sure if it needs alot more filling or the quality of bread roll they use or both but as I ate it,it went flat unlike the other banh mi's we had from other places that the bread holds everything together like a proper firm bread roll. And yeah not so much meat and crispy skin from the roast pork sadly.So it was a pretty bellow average banh mi experience...
