We have been going to Zaika Restaurant for many years, back when we were still living in Midland. We supported the restaurant and the previous owners – the food was good, but the portions were always quite small.

However, ever since the new owner took over the business – she is also the chef – the food has been absolutely delicious. The quality is excellent, the portions are generous, and we always have leftovers to bring home. We enjoy them over the next few days and often find ourselves praising how tasty the cooking is.

They’ve also renovated the restaurant. We’ve introduced so many good friends, family members, neighbours, and even acquaintance to this place, and everyone texts us back to thank us for recommending such a great Indian restaurant. Furthermore, it’s, BYO, which is a real treat!

The staff are friendly – especially a bubbly, kind, and helpful lady from Bhutan who always remembers our usual order. She will let us know how long our meals are going to take, and we always start with the entree. The wait time is quite long, as they’re always busy with dine-in customers. FYI, their takeaway is also becoming very popular, but their Indian food is definitely worth it!

Two years ago, they accidentally forgot to pack the Butter Chicken we had ordered for our daughter. We called them and my husband was almost heading back to Midland to pick it up however, the male owner asked for our address and drove all the way from Midland to the Perth Hills in winter to deliver it. He apologised, and we kindly told him to drive safely and thanked him.

Yummy Indian food, dinner and two thumbs up indeed! Highly...

This would’ve been a one star review had it not been for the fact that, despite the chaotic events of the night that I am about to disclose, my food was actually delicious and I wolfed it down in less than 5 minutes. At 18:30pm on the 30 December 2019 my family and I, with a reservation, went for a nice dinner before my sister and best friend go back to England. We were expecting great service and great food but unfortunately we were most definitely let down. We ordered 2 chicken kormas, a tikka masala, a butter chicken, a fish curry, a yellow lentil dal, 3 rices and 3 naans. Our food did not come out until 8 o’clock (a whole hour and a half after we arrived) and it came out in such broken intervals that by the time I’d gotten my curry, the whole table had finished their own curries. While we were waiting, numerous people came in collecting their take away orders, which they were told they had to wait an extra 10 minutes for but were offered complimentary drinks for waiting (something we did not get the privilege of receiving). My grandma, who has just turned 88 and has to eat at certain times, was left waiting for so long that she nearly passed out and my aunt who has diabetes was one of the last on our table to get her food. Although delicious, the food was not worth the wait. Furthermore, the water was so chlorinated I thought I was drinking from a swimming pool. We managed to get a discount at the end of our night but that was not offered to us, we had to suggest it first. Very very...

Exceptional Dining Experience at Zaika -Indian restaurant

Rating: 5/5 stars

I had the pleasure of dining at Zaika last night with my team, and I must say, it was truly an unforgettable experience! From the moment we walked in, the warm and inviting atmosphere, combined with the friendly and attentive staff, made us feel right at home.

The menu offered a diverse range of options, and we were impressed by the creativity and attention to detail in each dish. The food was expertly prepared, presented, and most importantly, absolutely delicious! The flavors were bold, the portions were generous, and the quality was top-notch and bet chef knows her thing.

Standouts included the Palak paneer, aloo sth else 😜, chicken wings, and many more , which was cooked to perfection, and the other dishes, which was a masterclass in balance and flavor.

What truly sets Zaika apart, however, is the exceptional service. Our server was knowledgeable, friendly, and made excellent recommendations. The staff's passion for the restaurant and its food was evident throughout the meal. And we have a high class services from all the staffs namely Yeshey and Maya and the chef outstanding.

Overall, I highly recommend Zaika to anyone looking for an exceptional dining experience. We can't...

My favourite Indian restaurant around and has amazing food and customer service. They do free naan bread with every main meal between 5-7 on weekdays. Our first 15 or so visits have been 5 out of 5. EDIT: Been back in May 2022 and was very disappointed. Customer service was below par, the food wasn’t the same (maybe a new chef???), the wallpaper was falling down everywhere, the new fake wood look floor was super slippery, the 2 free naan deal has been stopped, and the wait was quoted at 40mins and it took 70mins. The garlic naan was burnt and had almost no garlic on it, the aloo kulcha was bland and the butter chicken was almost as hot as a vindaloo. Please fix everything ASAP as we like supporting the locals, but if you don’t do so the restaurant won’t survive 2022.

Visited this place after long time, must say the vibe is much better as compared to other Indian restaurants in Midland area. Food quantitiy of each item was way too much than expected which is obviously good. Chef was kind enough to serve desserts on the house. Thanks to chef Megha for awesome hospitality. Definitely a goto Indian restaurant in Midland.

Establishment could do with a good clean... Food is decent but quality can differ for each visit. Kitchen makes mistakes. Service is okay I think there’s only 2 people in there that know how to smile and greet customers. There are better places but if you really cbb to go further Zaika will do the job.
