T&T Roll House (Eighth Street) — Restaurant in Mildura

Was really excited to try this place out after store officially opened.

First item I ordered was a vietnamese crispy pork roll. It was okay, was abit bland and needed more flavour. Pork wasn't really crispy.

Bread was abit too soft.

Better off going to PT3 Bakery for a perfect crispy pork roll, even though they've bumped up their price to $10

I then tried their noodle grilled lemon-grass chicken.

Their food was very fresh but I think their sauce was a little sweet which needed to be more balanced with more fish sauce.

Most Asian restaurants reduce their fish sauce because of smell and so people can bare eating it. Which for me it makes the sauce even more bland.

Service overall was great and I was given a free ice tea on the side.

Disappointed Experience at T&T Roll House

Saw the stellar reviews and decided to stop by on our way through town, but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to expectations.

The staff were friendly and inviting, and service was fast. We ordered two crispy pork rolls, both without coriander. One roll came with only pork, mayo, and cucumber. The other had pork, mayo, cucumber, and an overwhelming amount of carrot. Both rolls were missing key ingredients like pâté, pickles, chili, and carrot (in one).

The pork itself was soggy and lacked any crispiness or crackling.

Welcoming service, the place looks very clean. The crispy pork Bahn mi I bought looks as pictured!

Crispy pork isn’t very crispy. And the overall roll was missing a crunch or flavour of the bahn mi in Cabramatta or Marrickville NSW.

However, though the bread roll is soft, this makes it easier to eat. The portion is also just the right amount (not too big, not too small). Presentation is good, and the flavour were nice enough.
