Unbelievably rude male manager/owner. Ordered 2 mains, 1 rice and one entree. One main, rice and the entree came. We ate quietly, thinking that the 2nd main would come later as the restaurant had gotten busier. However, nothing came, and as we were almost finished with the food that had arrived, I enquired about the 2nd main. They then came and said we never ordered it (we did, but they dont write down orders?). They offered to cook it straight away but as we were nearly full after the long wait, we politely declined. Then when we went to pay, we apparently had the 'audacity' to simply enquire about whether there was a credit card surcharge. The male manager came over and interrupted and said in an incredibly rude and condescending tone, your bill is only $50+, the surcharge would be so low' as if we made the grave offence of not wanting to pay the surcharge, and told us off for even enquiring. We never said we didn't want to pay by credit card, however, it is a paying customer's right to ask questions regarding their bill. He repeated it again loudly at us even as we were walking out the restaurant. I dont know whether it was the fact we declined the reordering of another dish and so didnt spend as much as he'd like, or he simply doesn't like people asking bill related questions, but there was a drastic change of attitude to when we first entered and ordered, to when we were leaving. We didn't even comment or get upset that they got the order wrong, because sometimes there is a genuine misunderstanding. We just declined the reorder since we had pretty much finished all our other dishes, and we didn't want to wait longer for another to come.
Everyone has a right to ask questions about their bill, and the right to decide their method of payment. They shouldn't be made to feel smaller just for enquiring. To the male owner/manager, have a bit more respect and courtesy, not just false niceness when people enter and order.
I would not return here, and would not recommend this place...
Read moreEXTREMELY RUDE STAFF! We walked up to the restaurant at 6:45PM and this white guy working there said they were fully booked but not to worry and come back at 7:30PM. So we waited outside in the cold until it hit 7:00PM where we saw a lot of people leaving. Then around 7:05 PM, more people started to come in. So I inquired at the front where I was “welcomed” by the rudest white girl who barely looked at me in the eye and said “You don’t have a booking so we can’t help you..”. I said “the guy said we could come back when we saw people leave to come and sit” and she said very rudely “I can’t help you. Sorry.” And I said “Can I at least just put my name down?” And she said “No” and I said “Should I leave?” And she said “Yes we can’t help you!” … so I walked away and almost started to cry because I felt she was absolutely racially profiling me. Coming to this side of town from Sydney didn’t think I’d be racially profiled but I was so hurt by her behavior towards me at a THAI restaurant??? If someone is coming to you for business why would you turn them away so rudely? Don’t come here if you’re a person of Color you will get turned away like I did and feel awful the...
Read morePlease believe the 1 Star reviews when you see them. My husband and I have eaten here twice prior with no issues, however , after our third time it is our final visit. My husband and father ordered a Pad Thai , however was inedible and was sent back straight after trying it. It was a in a red sauce and tasted wrong. We provided feedback saying unfortunately this isn’t something we can eat and it went all downhill.
We were happy to order another dish however after the owners rude response we decided not to. Not only was he making a scene, yelling , threatening not to let us leave unless we paid for those two dishes that were sent back his wife came out making a scene and doing the same. We paid for all other dishes as we consumed them however the way we were treated simply because they did not like the feedback shows immaturity amongst them. The waitresses and other staff that were in there teens handled themselves better then a “grown man”.
*Tip for the owners :
In future when customers provide you some feedback ; there is no need to be rude and disrespectful. Accept the feedback and use it to be...
