The almond croissant was a total joke. Barely any almond flavour, a hint of almond at best. Basically no filling, no almond. I have had easily over a hundred almond croissants in my life and this must be one of the most disappointing I ever had. I made my point to the sales lady, who didn't really care and made me feel I was the problem. No complimentary alternative was offered. On the bright side, the coffee was good and served fast. Sadly the famed pistachio sour cherry pastry was sold out at 9.30 am on a Tuesday. Wouldn't you bake a bit more of your most popular item?

I arrived just before opening time of 7:30am and the line of costumers wanted to buy bread is already long. That's how you know how popular this bread shop is. Buy the time I ordered, the line is twice as long behind me. Be early to avoid long lines or you will be waiting for a while for your turn to order. From chocolate croissant, to four cheese and cinnamon roll, everything is perfect and delicious. The best I had in my opinion. The coffee is great as well. Came back the next day for more different types of bread. Try it and you will not be disappointed.

There is a reason you need to get in early for these beautifully fresh flaky pastries! They are the best in town. Totally worth the early wake up. The sourdough croissant‘s literally melt in your mouth which was a favourite and the cinnamon buns were a close second !!!! They are super fresh and warm. Definitely a worthwhile visit! Service is friendly too. There is a mini deli with artesian goods next door which is also worth checking out. Very fairly priced too!

The sourdough bread and the pastries were excellent. We checked this out over New year's when there was a line around the block for the pastries. We arrived 15 minutes before opening and waited about 45 minutes to be served. Luckily we were on holiday mode and didn't mind the wait. The pastries and sourdough bread were as good as any of the top places in Sydney and Melbourne. In particular, I recommend the plain croissant, pistachio and cherry pastry, and the country sourdough loaf. I didn't try the coffee but they have single O coffee beans on offer. I would have ordered a coffee but the barista that we were observing had very questionable technique so decided to try somewhere else. The local that we were in the line with said the coffee could be a bit hit or miss which is explained by the...

For first timers this is a tricky bakery to know what they stock on the day, how much and how big they are. This is because 1. certain things are made only on certain days, 2. there is no list in the window as you queue and 3. the sandwhich board only mentions a very limited number of items. So when you get to the front of the queue everything is rushed and stressful because you are trying to find out what they have, how big it is and much it costs, whilst not taking too long as to annoy people behind you in the queue. Further the cappuccino I had was poor and not strong enough. The sour dough was nice but the long queue, poor signage, rushed choices, poor coffee and lack of items suggested to be nice on reviews (but not available) ruined the experience for me, which...

This bakery is exquisite! It is worth a trip as it has better bread than all the bakeries I have tried in Sydney. There are many options but we tend to buy the white loaf, the walnut and a whole meal one and ciabatta. All are delicious and the milk buns make the perfect prawns sandwiches. Since COVID, the friendly staff has been delivering at no extra cost our breads, milk and coffee beans which we strongly recommend. The owners are community oriented and are environmentally conscientious (no plastic bags here). They are a real asset to the Port Stephen residents, visitors and top restaurants. Be careful though: this place is so popular with the locals, they...
