I have never left a negative review in my life and I do realize that this is not a Michelin starred restaurant, but dear me, I also think that you can expect some sort of standard when you go out to eat. Unfortunately, the standard at this restaurant was very poor. The veggies where dry and some what out of flavor, like the potatoes had a film on them with no seasoning. The meat made very little impression at all, apart from my strong sense that there ought to have been more of it. The pork came with some crackle that would have been the size of two fifty cents coins, and the same texture as jelly cement. Slowly, gradually, with great mental resistance but still inexorably, it dawned on me that I had paid over $40 for a some meals with almost no flavor. I know that for that sort of money I would be able to do to the local clubs and spend $18 per person and get all you can eat plates. For the same food that you guys are selling. I always get the same thing when I went there and this time I was told that I would have to pay more if I wanted all the vegetables. The restaurant must of changed hand recently, because it was sure not like this the last time we ordered. Carv'n it up mentioned to be specialised in roasts but unfortunately the standard is as good as my three year olds nappy.

Food handling and personal hygiene is also below standard. Long hair dangling over face, piercings, scratching under shirts and not washing hands. No gloves and handling food containers.
I place blame on the owner(s) for not adequately training staff or having processes in place to deal with customers. Average wait time is around 30-40 minutes in line even when you are one of a few in line. This is driven by prioritizing Menulog etc rather than customers in store in line.
In the many times I have visited here, food is never topped up proactively, instead they wait until the chips and pumpkin etc is empty then call to the kitchen to cook more. Further adding to the wait and inconvenience.
It is not unusual to have customers waiting in line and no one on the floor other than someone doing Menulog, so you just stand there waiting. Based off personal interactions and customer service, the staff do not enjoy working here.

Read moreAfter having to repeat myself twice l still received what l didn't order. The young girl disappeared to the back for a few minutes and l didn't know why but on return she restarted my order. I didn't know that she went and order more chips as the chips in the cabinet where old and looking worst for ware plus l didn't order chips so l was confused. Then the fresh chips came out they were tipped on top of the old chips. The first rules of food safety first in first out. Not put old stock on top of new. Any way l received pork roll combo that l didn't order but thought stuff it I'm not waiting any longer by this time had been waiting about 10 minutes so l just took the combo as l didn't want to repeat myself again and my friend had already received her order and was getting impatient. This is not good enough l used to drive from wodonga for your food but stop as the food quality had dropped off but today l thought l give it another try.
