I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Everything was fine until we realised they had a cockroach problem and a refusal to deal with it. Idk if they were racist or what but the lady with the red bob was so rude to my mother when my mother told her there was a cockroach INSIDE of our duvet, first she said it was normal for there to be cockroaches (maybe at your accommodation?) and then proceeded to say “you should book somewhere else because I don’t want to hear about the cockroaches again?” While we were taking the grace to explain what my mother meant, she made assumptions about why and she kept speaking over my mother and yelled goodbye in the middle of the conversation? My poor mother didn’t understand and thought she was just being funny and silly but as someone who was born in Australia I know she was being everything but friendly. Ruined our Albury experience we are very upset. Overall Terrible customer service and honestly probably not a safe space for people of colour because even over the phone she sounded so frustrated that some things were slightly harder for my mum to understand! I understand there is a certain standard to expect when booking a motel but even if there are roaches at the very least they should’ve been nice about it. I don’t know what that lady’s issue was but she should not be at the front desk. Other than that it was quite nice but that lady ruined our experience and we will definitely not be returning. Read moreSummary: Exceeded expectation for the (reasonable) price. Clean, warm and comfortable. Welcoming, friendly and accommodating owner. Would gladly stay again.
Tried the Seaton Arms as my 'usual' was full.
We were arriving late (after midnight) and they were more than happy to make the necessary arrangements and sent us a detailed text with the instructions.
On a chilly night (-2), we arrived to a warm, welcoming room. The heater and electric blankets were on for us.
The bed seemed comfortable enough and sheets were clean and crisp. Had a reasonable nights sleep, and encountered no issues with any of the facilities in the morning.
Bathroom and built-in wardrobe/tea/coffee station in the room we had were a little bit tired/dated but still certainly serviceable and adequately clean.
Just as friendly and helpful when we checked out (and thanks for finding my daughter's plushie that she dropped in the car park).
Didn't try breakfast,...
Read moreIt was good. Everything we needed. Had to ask at reception for bowls and spoons for breakfast. The kitchens were very small but kettles and mini fridges with small bottles of milk were provided. No toasters were in the two rooms our group booked. The spa jets on the old spa bath in one room didn't work and it was a bit dangerous for my elderly father to climb up the tiled steps to get into the bath. Our room only had a shower. Friendly lady at reception who was very happy to help. Beds were comfortable and of good size! Pillows were very high. Curtains did a good job at blocking out early morning light. Rooms were very clean and most parts had been modernised. Complementary biscuits. The veranda was beautiful and I enjoyed looking at the vines growing up it over breakfast. A suggestion - maybe place a chair or two on the veranda to sit out and...
