This place is a sleeping giant!! We were driving west and needed a lunch stop in Bathurst. The Homegrown cafe got the best reviews so we came here. A bit unsure at first as there were more cozily decorated cafes along the street, many with outdoor seating and the interior of this cafe is not flash, albeit spotless. However the friendly service and wonderful food more that’s made up for it. The coffee was good. My husband had the Chicken Katsu burger which was delicious as was my Chicken Teriyaki with rice, egg and salad. Huge helpings and each dish was under $20. Great value...

Our family visit this restaurant regularly from out of town on our trips to Bathurst. They offer amazing meals that are fresh and good quality. Coffee is really good as are the freshly made juices. It is a small restaurant with the owners providing a friendly atmosphere who take good pride in what the offer their customers. Customer service is excellent and the cost of the meals are reasonably priced and dont break the budget. This restaurant is well...

Don't expect anything sofisticated. Food is ok, but nothing is memorable. Had a chorizo breakfast. Quite large plate with some shredded carrot, random loose corn kernels, and lettuce that seems to be on a lot of menu options. Coles look sourdough with loose slices of chorizo. Good eggs Benedict and half an avocado with feta. Service is great, but the atmosphere is dated and uninviting. Comparing this to MEL and SYD these days, I don't think this cafe would...

On a road trip through regional NSW made a late stop for lunch in Bathurst. As one of the only options left open in the late arvo, upon first appearance when walking in I though 😬. But boy did they deliver. Very friendly service. When the food arrived, I was in shock as to the size and generosity of the portions. The meals we had tasted great. We made some dietary requests and they catered towards it. I definitely reccomend Hometown Cafe for a good feed.

On a busy cold Saturday in Bathurst we found this wonderful cafe. Warm inviting and a delicious selection of meals available . I ran with the bacon and poached eggs with sourdough toast followed up by a banana smoothie, I was not disappointed in my decision. Staff were helpful and service was quick without any fuss , definitely a highlight of our trip to Bathurst. Highly recommend this place for a quiet start to your day .

The vegetarian breakfast was fantastic and we were generally happy with the coffee and eggs on toast. I was however a little disappointed to be charged $10 for two bits of plain toast with butter for our daughter. The decor is also extremely dated and could definitely do with a refresh and the menus were just old dirty and ratty plastic sleeves with printouts in them.
