Nice modern Cafe! Very efficient staff especially the young Blonde headed girl! Absolute dynamo & the place was absolutely pumping! Monday 30th of December 2024 and she never looked rushed, offering the water doing the cutlery, running the food, cleaning the tables once people have left. She's definitely worth a seniors pay As she works for at least three people. (Hard to find) Had the breaky roll and coffee. It came out extremely quick and the egg was nice and runny The way I like it, coffee was top notch. The prices for coffee are very fair as well as the menu on offer. I will definitely be back and I left on the North side of Canberra & whenever I am in town I come here. Definitely not a sleepy Cafe. I counted over 60 people here.

OMG I just ate the best Bacon & Egg Roll. We didn’t have a booking and the restaurant was more than accommodating having places available for walk-in patrons. The kids ordered a chocolate thick shake which reminded me of my childhood. The chilli scrambled eggs were delicious and offered the right amount of heat for breakfast. The wait staff were all so accommodating and seemed a little taken back when we asked for our meals without modifications. That made us have a giggle! Thanks and highly recommend.

The vibe is lovely, kind of a rustic jazz cafe sort of thing going on. The juice I had was definitely fresh squeezed and delightful. The cheese toastie I got (there had been a rush for croissants it seems) was a little lack luster though, not sure what was going on there. Though the sourdough they chose was a very good one. And the baklava was tasty as well, not too overpoweringly sweet. The staff were all lovely, I must have just visited in a rough patch. I look forward to coming back :)

Shouldn’t be receiving a star at all. Went there couple of times terrible service. First visit was abt 205pm. Staff lady refused as she started packing up the outside table. Then eventually said yes as we were just looking to have a cold drink. She pointed us to a table thats not even cleaned and chairs were wet. So we left and moved to our normal cafe ciao. We gave another try again, went in got our proper table this time and cold drinks. Gave our orders. Took ages and no one even bother to check on us. We were even sitting right across the kitchen. Now its been 45mins waiting for our food and an hour sitting. We had enough went to the register and asked. So they took our order but it didn’t make it to the kitchen. Total waste of our time. Still no bother to check or even concerned. Even the staff having a break got their meals and other customers that came after us got theirs. Really terrible service. We didn’t look like we cant afford our meal in fact we ordered quite a few. Definitely not coming back. Staff pretend looking busy but they never check on their customers if their order has gone through or even pretend to care. We are locals and we want to support local business. But if your customer service is this bad. Don’t think you’re business will last. Even the small thai resto and indian places have way better customer service even the chef comes out to check on their customers. We love dinning out. Too bad that this small cafe with terrible customer service charges as what they would charge in canberra. Just ridiculous. Dont bring your kids there. My son complained too hungry we end up maccas for quick meal now as this cafe wasted too much our time. Go to The Mill Cafe and Cafe Ciao for a relaxed afternoon drinks and lunch meals best in town also The Royal or Campbell...

After having many lovely meals at this cafe over the past few years, we have had a very disappointing service and meal. We wondered if the cafe has changed hands (the cafe did not look as busy as usual and most of the team look new). We had a table outside and ordered our breakfast ok. Our table was dirty and I asked if someone could come out and wipe it clean (that didn't happen!). We waited ages for our food (we reckon it was about 40 minutes). We thought they had forgotten us and asked the waitress to check. We were told it was going to be another 2-3 minutes. It was longer than that before it arrived and the food was not as good as usual. My partner ordered the big breakfast and he said that one of his poached eggs was barely cooked! (he didn't eat it). There was no apology for the slow service or offer of a free coffee (we would have really appreciated that as the food took so long we had consumed our coffee by that time). The best thing about the meal was the coffee, that was as great as usual. Don't go for a meal here if you are in a hurry! We felt so disappointed after the poor and slow service...

Coffee was smooth, not bitter at all. My preference is a very strong nutty, chocolate coffee, this was not in that area but rather smooth and somewhat fruity. I don't take sugar and unless you are a sweet fiend wouldn't think you'd need it in this blend.

Eggs look like they were cooked in a microwave, and served very runny. My preference is pan and a bit more cooked. Every chef has their methods so that's what you'd expect from the kitchen here.

One piece of bacon cooked well, not burnt, but generally less than the normal amount I would say for a standard breakfast of that cost.

Overall value was not there. If you order a bacon and egg roll with a coffee you'd spend almost half the cost of the breakfast. Sometimes it's easier and cheaper to order food with the bread and or roll and throw that aside yourself than to order anything simple like just eggs and bacon. I've had the same meal at other restaurants at almost...
