This restaurant was such a pleasant surprise. We visited it last week as we were staying in the area and almost every other restaurant was closed due to Easter. We walked in without any reservation and were seated immediately. Decor wise it's simple but what it lacks with decor is more than made up with the cleanliness. The tables were covered with white paper and all the dishes and cutlery were clean (I have found many a restaurants lacking in this basic requirement). Service is friendly and warm. Food wise there's a wide selection of Indian dishes to suit everyone. Everything we ordered exceeded our expectations - the Aloo paranta was soft, fluffy and delicious (although it was more like a naan stuffed with bread rather than a flatbread). For mains we had the paneer dish with rice which was again excellent in flavour and not too hot or spicy. They also gave us free papadams on the side. For dessert we had the Kulfi (a type of Indian ice-cream) which was absolutely divine and as good as the ones I have had in India. And their prices are very affordable, we paid around $40 for the entire meal for 2 people - that is insanely good value for money....
Read morewhen I first entered punjabi hut I looked around and was amazed by how glamorous the place looked. it is really flash. I sat down to a beautiful table with some coworkers and was entertained by a brilliant owner/waiter, who was very warm, welcoming approachable and very humerous.
When we ordered the food it was very quick service, The menu was very stylish and had food options from banquets for large groups to buying your own individual meal.I ordered The chicken korma for the main meal it was absolutely breath taking and for entree I had these balls that you cracked open and they were filled with delicious stuffing in the middle every mouthful was mouth watering.
I couldnt believe the desserts were these boiled ice cream on a stick it was very milky and was full of flavour. we had aniseed flavoured breath mints after this which were incredible and top it off I had a thick mango smoothie which was full of mango goodness.
I highly reccomend this place to anyone wanting to try an Indian restaurant with a great atmosphere, food and...
Read moreFood was exceptional, but the customer service left a lot to be desired. While the dishes were delicious, the attitude of one of the waitstaff was disappointing. She seemed to treat customers unfairly and acted as if we were there to eat for free, which made the whole experience uncomfortable. A great meal deserves great service, so it’s unfortunate that the customer experience didn’t match the quality of the food. We were treated like we are options while serving us by one of the waitstaff. While she was serving us she referred other waitstaff to come and deal us couple of times which made both the experience awkward and uncomfortable. I would give - star on the service but other wait staff were helpful and this review is just for that entitled waitstaff who behaved like she was the boss and customers are...
